  1. Co-workers and I stopped in here for lunch. It's very conveniently located next to Rockefeller Center, so it definitely gets crowded. In order to expedite the wait time, we cramped ourselves into two high tables. It was tight for 6, but we made it work! They have a pretty vast menu with burgers, hotdogs, tacos, and more, so it's a place to come if you're feeling a hearty meal. I ordered the Fat Cat, which was very tasty. The prices are fair, but nothing comes with your burger. If you want to add on fries, it's an additional $5 or more dollars.

Service was good. Our waitress was nice, but our water glasses were neglected for most of the lunch. The place itself is huge. There's a bar in the back and two stories filled with dining tables. It feels much like your typical PJ Clarkes or Five Napkin Burger type of establishment.

I've had better burgers for a better price elsewhere in the city. However, Bill's is convenient and quick if you're looking for lunch. I may be back for a milkshake (as i heard they're good), but I'll most likely do burgers elsewhere.

  2. I stopped by to join the bf & his friend for game 1 of the nba finals. Booth seating downstairs with a large projection screen. He said the burgers were kinda dry, and fries/onion rings were meh.

Since I already had dinner before swinging by, I ordered the Caramel Apple Pie which totally hit the spot.

Blueberry Beer was interesting- I would get this again.

Servers were attentitive and very sweet.

  3. This place is amazing!!! Cute restaurant, amazing food, great service! I started off with the fruity pebble milkshake- can I get a hell ya?! Who doesn't love fruity pebbles I mean cmon! Every dip I took had fruity pebbles all up in it. Amazing! I had their classic bills burger and added a fried egg and maple bacon. Holy hell it was amazing! Perfect size but full of flavor! There was an amazing balance of sweet and savory. I loved it and I can't wait to eat it again. I had the sweet potatoe fries and tries the cheese fries and onion rings from my friends. The cheese fries were bomb. The cheese they put on it is amazing. I cannot wait to come here again!!

  4. The food here was very mediocre. That is all you need to know. It's a good bar and burger place if that's what you're looking for–booze and cheap/mediocre bar food

  5. I came around 3 on a Wednesday afternoon so there was no wait. I've had many tasty veggie burgers before and this one was pretty bland. Like, no salt was harmed in the making of this burger bland. The vegetable patty was a little on the cool side when it came out as if it hadn't been heated long enough. I must admit the "special sauce" that came with it was an okay attempt to give the burger some character. Thankfully, I had the cheese fries for balance.

Pros: Quick service, large space, good for groups

The milkshakes seem to be the rave. If I do return, it'd be for that and fries.

  6. Came for a work lunch one day for a burger, fries, and a shake.  Wow this place is large.  It takes up a ground floor and has a flood downstairs as well.

The chocolate shake I had was solid and topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup – not too thick that it couldn't come up the straw and that's just how I like it. It also came with extra shake in the stainless tumbler that didn't' fit in the 50's diner style shake glass.   You're able to add alcohol to the shakes if you want to roll like that too.

The fries were fine, nothing to complain or write home about, but beware because they don't come with the burger — you have to order them on the side!

I ordered a bacon cheddar burger – I think they cooked by burger perfectly medium as I requested it and the flavors and juiciness was on point.  Patties are substantial but not super thick; eating the burger wasn't TOO messy – it can be a daunting challenge when you're with colleagues and want to remain as clean as possible when eating burgers and fries.

What made me super happy, though, was the pretzel bun!  My goodness, get the pretzel bun it was really good and definitely added a savory-ness to the burger that you don't get very often.  Splurge on the pretzel bun because you're worth it.

  7. Great spot to grab a burger & a shake. I came here with a few co-workers one day for lunch. We were all starving and couldn't wait to eat. It was a bit packed when we went at 12:30 pm. We didn't end up waiting that long – they told us 15-20 minutes, but it was more like 10 minutes. I recommend making a reservation if possible before going if you don't like waiting.

All the burgers on the menu look great, especially the ones with the pretzel bun (you can ask for a pretzel bun on any of the burgers). I opted for a Bill's original with a fried egg on top. We also got original french fries and sweet potato fries for the table. The food came relatively quickly and it was all delicious! I loved my burger. It looks a bit small, but it's very filling. Both kinds of fries were good as well. We were stuffed after the food, but we couldn't resist getting a shake. We ended up getting a Cookies n Cream Shake and a Campfire Shake. The campfire shake was incredible! It had burnt marshmallows on top, as if you were eating s'mores. Cookies n Cream is a classic as well, you can't go wrong with that.

Overall, had a great time here. Will be back again.

  8. We used to get this quite often at my old job and on a whim, I stopped by for a sit-down lunch. This place is HUGE! I had a great server and got a classic cheeseburger w/fries. It came out pretty fast and the food was delicious. This is a great, central location and also has plenty of room for larger parties. I'd recommend if you're looking for a  place in Midtown.
