  1. Oh my ….. They have the Best cookies ever
Didn't taste anything else but for cookie it is a reference 🙂

  2. We stopped here because we were in the mood for their delicious City Bakery chocolate chip cookies and oh boy did they not disappoint!

The cookies have the most perfect crisp, softness, and chip/dough ratio (yes thats a thing).  They also feel lighter than some other well known cookie spots in the city (ahem Levain) – my husband wildly disagrees 😉

One thing that I thought was a little strange at this location was that they display the cookies that they don't sell from the night before on the window sill.  While that may be a cool idea… I'm sure that those cookies could be put to use in another way??

Anyways, get the chocolate chip cookies! (the ones NOT on the window sill 😉 )

  3. Nobody knows how long this pop-up location of Birdbath will last, but so far so good. It is not the best representation of the amazing selection of pastries and desserts that you come to know and love of Birdbath and City Bakery, it does offer the essentials in miniature sized version of the pretzel croissant and baker's muffin. The assortment of cookies are in full form. It's pastries will not beat the likes of Balthazar and Ceci-Cela, but fans of Birdbath can appreciate its presence on Spring Street alone.

This location also serves salad boxes with small selections vegetables and chicken as the only meat option. Despite the limited salad box choices, this is a good change of pace in an area that is very heavy on carbs and sweets.

  4. They usually have a few vegan baked goods options.  I highly highly recommend the vegan hemp milk scone.  It's so delicious and I go just for the scone!! A little pricey ($4 for a scone) but my favorite vegan scone I've had.

The coffee is just alright though.  Too many other good coffee shops in nyc

  5. I usually come here for the cookies which are pretty good but decided to be healthy and get their chicken kale corn salad instead today. What a big mistake! It was drenched in oil, completely soaked. It was inedible. What a waste of money, I couldn't even eat it. It cost almost $10 for a tiny box. Would never get this again. If I was rating just the cookies alone, I probably would give it 4.5 stars but this experience with the salad totally ruined this place for me. Will probably only come here for cookies from now on.

  6. I love and hate this place!!

For many years Ive been a fan of their spaghetti squash dish.  Tomatoey and cheesy goodness.   Mmmm hits da spot!

My new faves are the kale salad variations.  The one with chicken is such a great value and the chicken is so fresh, like a recent kill.

The cookies are just aight, crisp consistency of the outer most layer kinda reminds me of asian almond cookies with that lard flaky crumbleyness.

    So…..

What I dont particularly like is that when I have gone in recently I notice that the girls behind the counter tend to giveaway alotta the baked goods…but never ever to me.  Dissed!  This is a lil strange, because as a cute girl, I feel privy to getting free things all my life.  Sorry haters but this is how the world works.  Anyways, here it is felt as a personal slap in my face!!  I say this because, during a huge storm a few months back, I had overheard one attendant saying they were giving away baked goods due to the snow storm and closing early.  She then proceeded to give that person a couple of free items.  So naturally I expected some free goods too, but nope she decided to skip me.  Ok, oh well maybe she knew him and he was a repeat custy.  Well again it happened, same scenerio last week.  So yes I feel a little slighted!!  This is me venting, yes.  This situation does stick out in my mind yaaaaa…..but I guess oh well, Im not guna stop buying their delicious salad just because they never want to give me free baked goods ever.  Its fine.  Im ok.  Whatever evil salesgirls at birdbath.

    Whateva!!!!

  7. Late posting…looking for gifts for my foodie friends back home..came upon this place..saw stacks of giant cookies in window! Went in to investigate…they are a eco-friendly bakery…saw that they also sell sandwiches n salads..all looked delicious n fresh…but i came for the cookies…bought a variety of them..clerk boxed it up for me..got a couple for me to eat asap! Delicious! Friendly service n awesome cookies! I will be back!

  8. Came here after coffee with my sister. Place is small and unassuming. Staff are friendly. Given the space, there were not a lot to options to choose from, nor did I see an official menu on the side of the wall for reference.

However, the food was amazing! We ordered a raspberry bran muffin. The inside looked like a raspberry explosion and was perfectly moist, while the outside was nice and firm. Delicious!!

Location is right across from a park- perfect for munching on sweets and chatting.

Would recommend for a quick sweet treat to-go!
