  1. Okay truth be told i was looking for by chloes which is right next door but wasn't paying attention and ended up here. Saw the menu and wondered why it was so different but proceeded to order food anyway. yes i know i should have read the name of the place and realized it wasn't by chloes but i was too hungry and everyone's food looked so good!

i ended up ordering the prosciutto and mozzarella panini which was nice and hot when it arrived. the basil and olive oil worked really well with the whole wheat bread. i especially appreciate when the bread for any type of sandwich isn't super hard on the outside. it was the perfect amount of salty and tasted wonderful.

my dad got the exotic tuna sandwich which is a curried tuna sandwich with the works. they really load up the protein and you don't have to worry about them not packing your sandwich to the max. for the price of $7-8 it is so worth. my dad finished half of his sandwich and was already full. he is a big guy who can eat a little more than his share also so you know the sandwich was a decent size.

my sister french bite and really enjoyed it again the protein was abundant and so was the cheese!

all in all the food was pretty delicious and I'm glad i accidentally walked into this place since the prices are a little less expensive and will probably last you more than one meal. or if you're super hungry keep you full for a little bit longer.

  2. You should definitely visit this terrific casual Mediterranean spot in Flatiron. We had a quick dinner at 10pm and the place was mostly empty, so we chatted with the owner. He was justifiably proud of his three restaurants and built his business over 14 years. We ate modestly since it was late, but will be back for more of the healthy and delicious food. The white chicken chili was completely awesome, full of flavor and seasoning and not at all heavy like some chili can be. The hummus and fresh pita came with four options, I chose the sautéed mushrooms and it was as tasty as I remembered from travels in Israel and Palestine. Last, but not least, the prosciutto and mozzarella panini with sun-dried tomatoes also gets rave reviews. Congrats to the owner on building a good brand and serving outstanding food at a great price.

  3. big bite bigger heart
ami & staff are so kind
    melon yum is mine!

Ami is incredibly accommodating, considerate, inventive, and sensitive! I walked in for a snack with a whole mess of food allergies and everyone on staff swooped in to brainstorm with me and even offer to make a custom meal!

Ami took time to ask my opinions about what might be a good gluten free dairy free dessert option.

This place is so vibrant & upbeat! Great feeling when you walk in. 🙂

  4. Like a jungle cat stalking its prey, I've been staking out this spot since a few months ago when the nondescript brick wall and jungle trees on 22nd suddenly displayed a "Bite: Coming Soon" sign. A sandwich place that served affordable, tasty meals, right here in little ole Chelsea? It sounded almost too good to be true.

But unlike my Nigerian half-cousin, Bite actually pulled through, so I went with the lady friend tonight to see if it lived up to the hype, and YES. Yes it does. Despite staring at the menu for a full 45 minutes like a moron (may have been shorter, who knows), I finally settled on the Turkey Pesto panini. When in doubt, get the turkey pesto panini! It's awesome and filling and delicious. The Mediterranean vegan sandwich was apparently quite tasty as well, and the comment "wow this vegan sandwich is better than the vegan place around the corner" came up a few times (looking at you, Teri…) Anyway, I want to try at least five more things on the menu, so hopefully my 45ish minute Menu Marathon won't go to waste!

Also, we both left full, and the total price was under $16. Holy hell, what a deal. Going to make this place a regular stop!

  5. This was my first time at this location as I frequent the Lafayette St. stand often. I wish I worked near here because of the ample seating and friendly environment. It's clean, bright and airy with open windowed doors and table  seating for groups or solos. I sat at the bar where they make smoothies and espresso etc. The one worker was waiter/cashier/bartender all in one and was extremely friendly. He seemed to know every customer that walked in personally.

The food of course is delicious. I had my favorite Mediterranean Salad and since I always get it to go from the Lafayette St. stand, it was my first time seeing it presented in an actual dish. It's a nice touch when they layer the ingredients in such a way that it's pretty to look at and you take a second to admire it. The ingredients are fresh and mix well together (hummus, eggplant, roasted red pepper tapenade, almonds and pine nuts) and the pita was nice and warm.

This location seems to have more items on their menu due to a bigger kitchen and space. Actually, I wish I lived near here too because I would eat here all the time!
