There's a lot of talk about Dominican Cake, but honestly living in NYC I've only had 3 cakes that I can say "this is what Dominican Cake is !" The last time this happened was at De Colores Bakery.
I'm kinda scared that this place is only a couple of blocks away because it really is amazing.
The 3leches cake was ok, not bad, but definitely not the best I've had, but honestly their cake is were is at.
Only reason I gave only 4 stars is because it can be a madhouse in there.
You can reserve a cake and they take all your info but when you go back to pick it up it's as if you were never there which makes you wonder why they took all your info down in the first place???
So you gotta sit there and tell them AGAIN everything they wrote down before, and the funny thing is that you're not the only one; other people are pissed off because they can't find their cakes that they reserved days before, so yeah they need to up their info-logging because it really can get annoying but honestly, it's some good (real) Dominican Cake.
