I have been to this location a few times for their subs. This is an amazing place to grab a good lunch or dinner when I am in New York City.
I have felt saddened that I do not see very many Blimpies restaurants in this nation like I used to. A decade ago, I saw them around all of the time, no matter which state I visited. Now, I rarely see them around. It is a blessing that this location is still open and that I still have a wonderfully run Blimpies to go to when I am hungry.
The employees in this particular Blimpies appear to have a good eye on cleanliness and order. They appear to stay on top of their cleaning and organizing duties no matter if the business is busy or slow. I have encountered few problems with leftover food from the previous customer. Overall, I have always felt comfortable walking in here, ordering a good meal, and eating a good meal here.
The employees are always friendly and helpful. They are resourceful and wonderful at answering any questions that I may have. They appear eager to please their customers, and it shows with how well they interact with them. During their slow times, some of them have also been great at carrying a brief conversation about what is happening in Harlem. I have walked in here when it was packed and when it was slow. They appear to carry themselves well when their line is long, as they keep the line moving at a reasonable pace.
Whenever I order here, I switch between the meatball and the ham sub. I always request it with Swiss cheese, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. I always order with the meal, which comes with chips and a soda. No matter which sub I choose, it always comes out tasting delicious! From what I observe, the employee are fantastic at keeping an eye on freshness of the food. I have never once encountered a problem with such.
When I am in New York and need a good sub, I will continue keeping this location in mind. I feel like I can count on them for amazing lunch or dinner food.
