I had the cafe mocha here and it didn't taste as rich as the one I have in San Francisco, but it wasn't completely terrible. The barista wasn't particularly friendly or anything. Pastries also looked very unappetizing.
The place is located in a market and there aren't very nice lounge chairs around.
Thank you Blue Bottle, for staying so close to me!
I used to grab New Orleans cold brew at their Rokerfeller center location but always consider it not that convenient. After I discovered its new location inside Gothem West, I could already vision myself revisit. Today I opted for the single origin cold brew, more refreshing, yet a bit strong.
Side note: they don't have skim milk on the side, so ask for it!
Finally made my first visit to blue bottle – the leader of third wave coffee, focusing on single region coffee beans!! Great coffee and spacious place to sit and enjoy a sip.
I enjoyed the thick New Orleans cold brew and sat down there with my friends. Their chocolate cookie and yogurt parfait are also very delicious. Dark chocolate cookie is rich, creamy, slightly salty yet not too sweet. The yogurt parfait is another healthy breakfast choice.
Wish they can expand to downtown soon! Def worth a visit.
Usually franchise stores have quality problem, I haven't seen it on Blue Bottle yet. Have been to 4 or 5 locations in NYC, all satisfied. Hot or iced.
Blue bottle is as good as it gets! This one is located in Gothem market – just a few blocks from the Javits and is the perfect pick me up!
Aside from all the coffee options they have (cold brew included), they have other things such as pastries, breakfast bars, breakfast cereal, and even blue bottle memorabilia – like a canvas tote, beanie, books, mugs, and of course coffee beans for sale.
If you get a latte, have it with almond milk. I swear it's THAT much better 😉
This little coffee shop has probably been my favorite stop at Gotham West (and the most reasonably priced). A nice sized nook at the north end of the market, with a straight forward coffee menu and a few baked goods to boot.
After an okay experience with the latte, decided on the New Orleans Cold Brew ($4). Not sure what they put in there but it's truly fantastic. Had to add just a tiny bit of sweet syrup to make it a refreshing summer drink. My friend who's not a coffee person also swears by the tea, so there's that as well.
Great place to sip a coffee and watch TV on the projector at the market or play one of the board games sitting out.
ordered an almond milk latte. 6 dollars? wow most iv ever spent on a coffee in my life.
and not really living up to the buzz anymore. it feels more mass produced than ever before, which is sort of the cruel reality of blowing up in the city despite your one drip at a time philosophy. i think phils coffee on the best coast does a better job of balancing success with their core values.
I would choose blue bottle any day over Starbucks. The flavoring is strong and the artistic touch with the latte art is great. I love its location within Gotham West. The price is a bit steep but if you are looking for quality coffee, this place will not disappoint.
