  1. It's ok, having a need for a iced mocha latte this place showed up.

Price — 2 stars.. Total was $5.72 for this drink..I can get better & cheaper elsewhere..JS

Latte — 2 stars.. Not even close…Lacked flavor

Service — 4 stars .. Friendly and kind

So really not impressed the coffee lacked umphhh!!! Is Queens overpriced and over rated… Lol

  2. Blue Cups does not have competition in the Woodside area which has a more Latino-based coffee and bakeries and while it stands out from the rest of the competition, it does an admirable job when it comes to coffee and pastries.

It's interesting how Blue Cups is a few blocks away from the 7 train station and yet is in an area where you wouldn't expect it to be. I only stumbled upon it when I got lost trying to get somewhere else but it was good diversion. It's an unassuming place from the outside but once inside it's actually really nice. It's small with a only a few seats but there are two ottomans that are really colorful that I really like. The walls are padded in the sitting area with canvas bags related to coffee.

I've had the latte twice and while it might not win points for prettiest latte, it is well-executed. Also if yo u get it to stay it comes in a colorful plate so Blue Cups gets points for presentation. There are about 7 muffin varieties you can choose from and as well as croissants and cinnamon rolls. They're decent but to rave about. I will say that the service is really great both times I've been here.

Happy eating and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

  3. Great little place… very little… but great… nice coffee, nice snack assortment and cleanest bathroom in queens!

  4. I am more than willing to return to Blue Cups for its main attraction, but I'm giving 3 stars for now solely on the smoothie I had on my visit.

I'm a fan of the interior, and the service was friendly, but when I ordered what supposedly is their most popular smoothie, Frozen Blue Cups (banana/blueberry), I wasn't blown away. First, the barista had to look at the menu to look at the ingredients, which was weird (if he's new, my bad!). It's a very basic smoothie – banana, almond milk, lowfat yogurt, blueberries. I saw they used frozen bagged blueberries, which is eh. Anyway, the end product was just okay- it also wasn't very cold, so I would rename this one if I were them. For $6, I just expect a little something that exceeds what I can do at home.

Still, I've read great things about the coffee at Blue Cups, and next time I'm in the mood for an afternoon pick-me-up I'll definitely try it out again and update my review.

  5. I used to live a block away, so this cafe would've been very convenient for me.
Now, not so much and parking is tough in that neighborhood, especially being a block away from the 7 train (61st St. Station).  But if you would like to trek over here by public trans. then that's the train to take!

Small venue with modern decor.  By small I mean, seating for about 10-12 people.  Now that's not horrible for the space given.  The Wi-Fi is super fast, and the bathrooms are very clean so that's a plus!

They serve coffee, booze, and hot foods.  I have yet to try to hot food, but probably will do so in the future.  The booze probably won't be my first choice while I study, but for anyone who enjoys hand-crafted beers while getting work done, then this is the place for you!

There's a huge TV at the back of the cafe, and by back I mean a couple steps from the entrance 😀
And I'm actually excited to see if they show sports games on that TV during the evening.

Service is good!  Baristas are very friendly and outgoing. I'll probably be back here if I'm around.

  6. looking for a nice quaint coffee shop in the Jackson Heights area? look no further than the blue cups cafe!

I was introduced to this place by a friend who lives in the neighborhood & was happy that we decided to stop inside. Since blue cups was conveniently located with in walking distance to the woodside train stop, me and the misses stopped by to grab an ice coffee, get a quick jolt & help quench our thirst.

The attendant inside was very nice and served up our ice coffees in a quick jiffy. Afterwards we even chatted up a conversation about the neighborhood and their business which added to the local neighborhood vibe of this shop. Oh and they even had soy milk options & free wifi for their patrons which is an added plus! I love the fact that they have a frequent visitor card there which can be used towards free coffee after the 10th purchase. They even serve hot sandwiches which is a nice option in case you get hungry and need some food on the go.

Before your daily commute or even if you want some good brew, be sure to stop by and pick up a cup of java. It will help start your day right!
