My favorite place to get Indian takeout, granted it's really close and I'm too lazy to travel excessively far for takeout…It's good. Just kidding it's REALLY GOOD. I order the Chicken Tikka Masala and fried vegetables. They're always consistent.
Came here with a coworker to get my first taste of Indian food.
It was pretty good and right in the heart of Bed-Stuy. Of course we had to pass through group of men giving cat-calls, but when we finally made it to Bombay Heights, it was worth it.
We waited for the food and decided we'd eat it back at my coworker's house since she lived nearby. I had the Tika Masala as she told me that's the go-to dish for many lovers of Indian food and it's a great one to try for those who are beginners.
It was pretty tasty and the rice was plentiful.Since then, I've had Indian food from numerous places which I feel had better quality Indian food.
This place is "A-OK" and I would come back here for food if I'm in the area.
When we visited New York, G took me to this Indian restaurant that he had been to on a previous trip.
Like many Indian restaurants, they gave us this wafer bread, which according to my research is callaed papadom. This one came with three sauces. One was green. It may be made with some mint and chiles. One was a chopped veggie mix. The other is perhaps a type of chutney. If you know, let me know!
I had the vegetable soup, that had a tomato base. It was very good.
G had the saag paneer, which is spinach with an Indian cheese. This is by far my all time favorite Indian dish. I'm always jealous, when I don't get it, because he always does. I try to order something different so that I can try new things.
I tried the biryani this time. It was rice and vegetables. It was really good, but I still wished I had ordered the saag paneer.
I am not a fan of Indian desserts. This was some type of rice pudding, I think.
I was a fan of this place. It is worth trying if you are in the area and crave some Indian food.
I love this place! I've only eaten in maybe 3 times, but it's on my block so I order from here a lot. I always get the chicken madras curry and sometimes the samosas. It's always really good and a great portion size! The guys working there are friendly enough. If I ever have to wait a bit longer for my take out order, they give me a little cup of the rice pudding! I also love how that always comes with my take out food! It's so yummy. My only complaint is that the food takes a while to come out if you're eating in.
Dont want to be a negative Nancy and shower on everyone's parade but I used to order food from here until I got food poisoning. So I actually don't order any Indian food delivery anymore after the experience. I used to get rice nan and curry chic peas.
Also my friend got some weird lamb before and it looked discolored and metallic as if it probably came from a can
(if that's even possible) ewwl
Probably that's why they got the C. The grade is for cleanliness and operation, so whether you eat in or takeout, it's the same kitchen.
They do have quick delivery, perhaps that's why food is not always consistent because they rush it or have it ready made from the morning.
So I kind of sort of have a love hate relationship with Bombay Heights. I would say I order pickup from here at least once a month.
The food is excellent as many have already said. I've had the Chicken Makhani as well as the Chicken Curry both are spicy without being too spicy and the Chicken Makhani is sweet, but not too sweet. You always are provided enough food so you can have leftovers, which is a total plus in my book and I really love the garlic naan.
Every issue I've ever had here was with the service. For example, when I first started going here a few years back naan was included, at least I thought it was because I never asked for it and always got it. More recently that stopped happening and when I asked when I was picking up I got a rather rude response. I mean if it's not included that's totally fine, I've been ordering it separately since then since I do like it, but they honestly didn't have to be rude. Also if you order pickup you should always go 20 minutes after the suggested time seamless sends you. I've made that mistake one too many times and have been waiting for my food much longer than I would have liked to.
Overall it's great Indian food and just take the service with a grain of salt I guess.
Great Indian food for delivery! The service was fast and the meal was delicious! We had the garlic naan, the lamb shish kebab, the chicken tikka masala and the lentil soup. The only thing that I didn't absolutely love was the soup as it had bit too much broth and not enough lentils. The lamb and chicken were cooked perfectly and the spices and sauces were great! The naan was still hot and loaded with garlic goodness! Yum. I definitely recommend!
This is one of my favorite take out places. Thankfully they have delivered to my last two apartments. I've never eaten there but according to the menu it is byob, which I'll be trying at some point.
I get the daily special every time. It is $14 for a small appetizer, naan and entree with rice. I can normally make two full meals from this. The tikka masala and the curries are amazing but beware of the spice level. My boyfriend loves spice but getting something spicy made him tear up. Mild spicy is where it is at. Try out the specialy bread too. The fillings are delicious and flavorful.
