  1. This is probably the worst Indian food I've ever had the misfortune of subjecting my taste buds to. The flavoring is off, and the quality of the meat is basically zero. On a recent hungry and busy day, I ordered the following, figuring I could eat most of it on the spot and then heat up leftovers later: a daily special with chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and an alu paratha.

    Here's how everything broke down:

    Daily Special:
Arrived without the cucumber raita and mango chutney. Naan was burnt pretty badly. Chicken tikka masala was overly sweet — I've eaten lots of chicken tikka masala, and this is the first time I've ever tasted anything like this… and it's not pleasant.

    Lamb Vindaloo:
Decent spices and extra-hot, as I requested. Ridiculously terrible lamb; gamey to the point of causing me to gag. I didn't get past the first two bites.

    Alu Paratha:
This was actually quite good! Too bad it was less than 1/10th the cost of my entire meal.

  2. It's been one of those days where I started my morning off with an insubstantial breakfast, poured obscene amounts of coffee down my gullet, and then went to the gym for a lackluster afternoon workout. Sure, I found a little time to work in between all this. Six PM rolled around and I was famished. Fridge empty; kitchen a damn mess–not that that's relevant. I'd had Bombay Kitchen bookmarked; figured it was time.

Called it in, walked a few blocks down to pick it up, and a kind gentleman had it bagged up and ready to go. Unwrapped it at home and was pleased with what I saw: decent portion of tikka masala, full container of rice, and a substantial amount of roti. Not obscene portions of anything, mind you. Fifteen dollars seemed right, or perhaps a smidge high.

Tikka masala was excellent: creamy, piping hot, rich and filling. I alternated mixing it with rice and roti. A part of me wanted to stop myself and save a little for later in the evening, but it was one of those deals where once I got rolling, you need to just get outta the way.

For about ten minutes I was uncomfortably full. Now I've digested a bit and I'm super satisfied.

  3. Delicious and quick delivery! Try the chicken or lamb vindaloo and garlic naan

  4. Really great choice for Indian food in the area!

I ordered the Madras Shrimp curry and the mushroom curry. Neither dish was spicy but they were great none the less. The shrimp were nice and tender, not overcooked, as sometimes happens with Indian restaurants. And while the mushrooms did appear to be canned, they were the best canned mushrooms I've ever had. The curry is good enough that you don't really notice it all that much anyway. I also ordered a side of all their chutneys, all of which were on point. Naan was good too. I can't wait to try more dishes!

  5. This place is pretty cute and was one of my first experiences with Indian food.  My boyfriend took me here during a snowstorm and we were the only ones in the restaurant.  The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.

  6. I can't even properly describe the way in which I love this place, but for Yelp's sake I am going to try. This is the sweetest bunch you'll ever encounter, I promise you. I've been ordering online for months now and I am hardly ever disappointed.

One fine day, I ditched delivery and en route to my local laundromat, I decided to pick up some dinner. They sat me down, I had a nice talk with the nice man behind the register and they even served me while I waited.

Upon arriving home, they forgot something, so what did they do? They called me and brought me an extra little treat as an apology.

My entree of choice (chicken makhani) can be inconsistent, but more than tasty nonetheless. The Kashmiri Pulao is delicious, a fruit laced with spices rice dish. The samosas are on par and their naan is just a delicious compliment to almost any dipping sauce with it's wholesome flavor and fluffy texture.  I absolutely love their rice pudding, but their fresh shrimp could be more tasty or more period.

I could go on and on randomly thinking of food to comment on, but if you're in the mood for affordble, healthy Indian food and you live in Bushwick, definitely give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

  7. Never again. I should have known. I ordered my food extra spicy – it came mild, bland. Overly creamy – lackluster.

Their korma is a complete joke.
