Bonchon
“I ordered the medium combo half and half which comes with 10 wings and 5 legs half and half being half soy garlic and half spicy.”
“So maybe get the bubble tea minus the tapioca balls cause they were hard and not fresh, but the flavor of the bubble tea was good.”
“We sampled the wings and drumsticks with both sauces the crispy outside moist inside and spicy sauce is out standing.”

Just like the Bonchon locations in NYC, this place offers great Korean style fried chicken. Both the spicy and soy garlic are really good. They serve other Korean dishes here like japchae, bibimbap, tteokbokki, dumplings, and more. They also have fresh coffee (I think it's unlimited? Unclear) and bubble tea. The only complaint I'd have is that the food takes a little long to prepare, but we could tell it was freshly made and very good quality.
The restaurant itself is clean and spacious with plenty of seating. They don't do delivery, but they have take out options. There is also a ton of parking.
This location is very clean and big, doesn't seem like a chain, more like a mom and pop shop. The menu is pretty big for a small place.
Great Bibimbap, the rice was perfect and the bulgogi was awesome; I love the raw egg, it cooks itself on the hot pot. **If you don't like that, then don't order it.** The fried chicken is remarkable, it has a unique crust that other fried wings do not have. It's alot different from regular wings, almost a dryer texture on the outside but still hot and tender on the inside.
Totally recommend BonChon!!
Stopped by for lunch and had the 6 spicy wings and fries lunch special for 7.95.
Definitely a unique wing. The meat pops right off the bone. I didn't find the spicy too hot, but they had a nice kick. I know my parents would not have enjoyed the heat. Overall I liked the wings and the fries were good, though I did miss my bleu cheese.
As others have said it takes a minimum 20 minutes to get your wings so call ahead if you're short on time. The lunch special is an okay value, but I'm never crazy for any place that charges over a dollar per wing.
I love the variety that they offer from the fried chickent to rice to potstickers so this is huge. This will cover a huge range of your cravings and worth the 3 stars. I would have given them 4 stars but a bit disappointed with their fried chicken as it was not as good as i thought it would/should have been. The chicken was crispy but a bit dry and to be honest it didn't take the usual 25 minutes for our chicken order. It was not very hot so I think we got a take out order that someone didn't pick up as it was served extremely fast. While we were eating a gentleman entered and I overheard the cashier stating that he placed the order a very long time ago which he repied saying that he just got stuck. He waited for a while for his order of fried chicken wings so I am guessing they gave us his order thinking he wasn't going to show up which is why our order was so quick and not a hot.
Overall still enjoyed our visit and will be back to give them another chance. A very large, bright and clean restaurant so you know what you are biting into. The potstickers were hot and crunchie and packed full of meat. If you like Korean food, this is a nice place for a bite to eat in or take home.
I have been going to the Jersey City location for quite some time now and i am so glad they finally opened a spot near my house! i love this place, hands down the best chicken wings. You are absolutely paying a higher price for their wings but it is so worth it in my opinion.
I usually get a 10 piece combo with both soy sauce and the spicy flavor. after 5 of the spicy wings your mouth will be on fire and i love every second of it. I am forever a customer! some of the best wings around
Awesome to have a korean option in this area! The bibimbap portions were huge and delicious. The dumplings were unique with spicy sauce on the outside, just like the chicken.
The place is seriously lacking a hip atmosphere – feels like a school cafeteria or an airport food court but I'm okay with that because the food is great!
Ahh, Bonchon chicken in Midland Park… never thought I'd see the day. This is a Ktown happy hour staple, known for their Korean style chicken wings and legs eaten with pitchers of beers. If you're new to Bonchon, please order the chicken and not something else on it's own. That would be like going to a steakhouse and ordering a plate of fish. This is a FRIED CHICKEN joint, got it? Discliamer: This particular location does not serve beer, and have only done take out from here.
They do have few other good offerings like tteokbuki which is spicy rice cakes and I admit they make a good one, another dish meant to be eaten with BEER. There are a few other Korean style dishes, but I wouldn't really care to order anything else. You want traditional Korean food? Go to a Korean restaurant. This is Korean fried chicken.
I ordered the medium combo half and half which comes with 10 wings and 5 legs half and half being half soy garlic and half spicy. It's $20.95 so it's not cheap, but worth it every now and then. I prefer the spicy, which is basically the soy garlic with extra heat. Their chicken is different from any American style chicken wing, it's deep fried in a light batter until the skin literally lifts from the flesh to a crispy crunchy goodness. I have no idea how they make it like this, definitely a unique texture. Instead of being slathered in sauces, they brush on your sauce of choice. The chicken remains crispy and delicious.
I ate the combo with a friend, but I could probably down the whole thing myself if I was hungry.
