  1. Dinner service is still terrible but I'm updating my review because the lunch is a bit better. If you go at 11:30AM or at 1PM, you will only have a 10 minute wait. If you come at noon, be prepared to wait half an hour.

Ordering online for lunch is weird. Your order is received and the cashier will put it on the wall but won't submit it to the kitchen on receiving your order unless you call to say you're picking it up in 5 minutes or unless you show up and wait (defeating the purpose of ordering online if you're there in person anyway).

    But food is good.

  2. Not all Bonchon's are created the same. This place has the best prices. Best happy hour compared to other locations. Food fresh and tasty chicken is nice and crispy fried and the spicy ones have the right amount of heat that you can enjoy the flavor without to much burn. The staff is also very friendly. Come here for happy hour and don't great chicken.

  3. Goto/delivery  place for crispy Korean fried chicken, great with a bottle of beer on a snowy NY night. Casual dining, big screen TV for watching sports, HH drinks, and small sampling of other Korean food.

  4. Holy Moly, on a nice sunny afternoon, this place is packkkkked !  This Bonchon location is pretty small so it gets pretty cramped easily.

I wish they gave out the buzzer thing like they do around ktown rather than having to yelling out the ticket number. It's pretty stressful not know if your number's been called or not!! But… I do believe, if you ordered near the bar, the food is brought to you.

Well, one pro thing about this place is that you do not have to leave tip like you do on the Bonchon location in ktown.

Do come super early or late for lunch if it's a nice weather outside. I'm kind of repeating myself but it's very important! Unless you feel like waiting half an hr for your order than.. it's completely up to you, I only have an hr lunch break.

P.S don't just order the fried chicken, the fried calamari's pretty good. 🙂
ALSOOOOOOO, you might not want to get the pickled radish on the side.. apparently it leaves a huge smell and those who do not order Asian food much, will not like the smell.. *somebody, open the doors and windows! check the garbage can!* My goodness. Time to pop some breath mints.

  5. I have eaten many renditions of KFC and have dined at the BonChon location in Boston and I will say this is not a good representation of the genre nor the chain.

Korean Fried Chicken is supposed to be fried twice, then dipped into an addictive sweet/sour/hot sauce while it's still hot so the sauce will soak in. This chicken was dry and had some kind of coating which is definitely non-traditional. I got both the soy sauce and hot renditions and would recommend you skip the soy and just go for the hot.

To convince my body I was not just pounding fat, i ordered a side of kimchee slaw. Not recommended. Small serving and very heavy on the mayonnaise. A much better side (actually the best thing about the meal) was an equal size cup of pickled daikon. I happened to be there the last night it was free; it will be a paid item as of 4/1/16, no fooling. I'd still order it.

The bar was populated by a number of drunks during my visit at around 9 pm on a Thursday, possibly due to the all-day $5 beers. Lots of lurching around going on. I'd ordered to go, and was glad i was not dining in.

  6. New owners, all the amazing happy hour specials went away, and the prices went up on basically everything, but, I liked my meal here more tonight than I did my meal here a couple years ago. The drumsticks are okay, the wings are good, but the strips are fantastic — and I am definitely a dark meat kinda guy, but their batter goes better with the light moist breast meat. As for the traditional Korean entrees, it's just too expensive and they are not generous.

  7. I went in just for some appetizers. Ordered wings- half and half, half garlic and half spicy. Trust me, the spicy ones are really spicy. I liked the Garlic one, really flavorful and were definitely not frozen. But there was nothing really extra ordinary about them.  Initially I wanted to order drumsticks but the server told us it usually takes 30 minutes to make them since they make it fresh every time. I like how the server was honest about it but I was really hungry and didn't want to wait so long even though the wings took almost 20 minutes.
The service is definitely slow and the wait is not that worth it.

  8. They have the best Asian Fusion chicken ever! Their service is always good. And the bartenders are awesome. Love this place!
