  1. Six other people as well as myself went here over the weekend. It was my first time at bonfire and I really wasn't sure what to expect. Inside there is a bar area, a dinning area that looks more like a wedding reception, and through the doors you can find outside seating.

Between us all we tried many of the drinks off the drink menu. I enjoyed the coco loco as well as the mango margarita. My boyfriend order a jack and coke but received a Diet Coke which he sent back right away.

For dinner I ordered the mofongo with chicharron and everyone around me seemed to have tried something different. Someone tried the lobster, shrimp, some type of fish and etc. Over all the food and drinks were good.

I can say I've had better service. Expect there to be times when you think that your server has left for the night or gotten lost in the kitchen. They're not the most attentive and our server did not have the greatest personality either.
However, I can't say that it ruined the experience.

My recommendation is to go when you have a lot of time, other than that it was a good experience:

  2. OK so hubby and I wanted to have some mofongo and if u love mofongo nothing against NJ( as I was born and raised here ) but the best places to have mofongo is in NY…
So as we walked in the place – is humongous with a bar and a DJ … my guess is that it turns into a club after hours … It also seems like u could rent out the place because there was clearly a divider that separated the party from  dinning area… and there was also a small section for a sweet 16 dinner it seemed….

    Anyway time for business….

We got sat down rather quickly but service was EXTREMELY slow… which I didn't understand why if they had way too many waiters/ waitresses … we even had 2 staff members taking our orders and we still had to wait ….

    How does that happen???

And the place for a Saturday night only had 3 other tables… so it wasn't like it was busy ( inexcusable)
So we placed our orders , drinks and appetizer
I ordered a passion fruit mojito … can't complain it was delicious , refreshing and lots of alcohol…

We got the seafood ceviche as an appetizer that took nearly 30 minutes to make it to the table I figured maybe they went fishing for the ingredients because it took forever and it wasn't even fresh and it was drowned in lime juice as if they were trying to hide the fact that it wasn't fresh …
The calamari and shrimp was hard to chew but I was starving and already on mojito number 2 and a half so I didn't argue and just ate it….
    Thank god I didn't get food poisoning…
After and hour and nothing else to talk about I get my chicharron (pork) mofongo and it was good lots of chicharron but the plantain (mofongo)was dry … good thing they give sauce on the side ….

As we were eating a family of 4 walked in sat down waited no longer than 5 minutes and left I guess I was too patient and they were too hungry….

I wanted dessert but it would of probably taken like another hour …

In all I will never come here again , the food wait was ridiculous and no one ever came to our table to apologize for the wait , yes they were all nice but and update of how much longer the food would taken, would of been even nicer or a complimentary something… too bad because the drinks and food were actually decent… and the the fried pork grinds were nice and crispy and not too fatty—- just don't order their seafood ceviche…
