  1. One of my favorite spots in Montclair! I love the hole in the wall feel of it, and that the food is consistently delicious! My favorite things to get at Bonjour Montclair are their crepes (turkey, goat cheese, and pesto oh my gosh) and their soups (Apple carrot and butternut squash are my favorites). The crepes are huge and filled with fresh, delicious ingredients and the soups are flavorful, creamy, and come with a giant slice of bread to dip in it! The service is friendly and quick and the food is very affordable! My only 2 issues with Bonjour Montclair are that the coffee isn't my favorite (and when they put sugar they really overdo it) and that they serve everything on styrofoam plates (like others have mentioned). I definitely recommend giving this place a shot!

  2. It took me way, way, way, way too long to get back here. Years. Should have been weeks at most. I just wanted a little dessert to wash down my P'haal from Brick Lane, and I remembered how much I needed to revisit Bonjour. I came in for a dessert crepe. $6-$8 seemed a little pricy, but I paid it anyway. They made me a custom strawberry-lemon-butter dessert crepe. I figured it was on the expensive side – until it came out. Holy portion size, Batman! I could barely finish it! The dessert crepe is the size of an entire meal. The crepe is outstanding, it's packed full of ingredients, there were added strawberries on the outside, and then finished off with a generous helping of whipped cream and even a pineapple slice. My faith was restored with the first of many, many bites. I barely waddled out as they got toward closing time (9 PM, not bad). Now that Mac Attack has closed, this becomes my default must-stop when I head through Montclair, whether for dessert or a meal.

  3. This cafe is amazing! Savory crepes… Yes please! Sweet Crepes OMG YES!!! Oh and I can't forgot the fresh juices…. Bring it on Bonjour Cafe! $12-$15 avg per person for fresh clean eating with a sweet smack!

This afternoon, brunch ish time we decided to stop in prior to heading out to state fair at meadowlands!

We ordered 2 fresh juices. Pineapple orange and carrot Apple ginger. To eat we ordered crepes. Steak portobello and Swiss cheese and a sweet strawberry banana and Nutella crepe.

The fresh fruit juices were banging. Made to order and simply hearing the juice machine put smiles on our faces. Both drinks were lovely, fresh and healthy for us! Both crepe plates came with fresh half slice of pineapple… Yum! The savory crepes come with a side salad and the sweet crepes come with whipped cream. These crepes were amazing! Came out in no time and had and tongues in flavor heaven! The fat kid in me wanted to order crepes to go… That's how good everything was. I didn't want to leave.

I still love Steve and Andreas crepe pancakes, but Bonjour is now added to routine spots. The cafe is cute and small and they offer outside seating. It's cash only so please bring your greenbacks folks. Enjoy Yall.

  4. First time here so the five stars is strictly for this visit. I pray the Stars being aligned perfectly for this visit was not simply a fluke. The lady working the counter met us with smiles and a sweet personality. Instant plus !!!

This place is simple in terms of decor and style but cozy and welcoming. Sometimes all the thrills and frills are a distraction to the lack of service and food but not here at Bonjour Montclair. These team has a winning formula that other places can only dream of having.

OK now to my meal….Ooooo Man was I blessed this morning with a mouth watering stomach satisfying Steak, egg and cheese with mayo on my hero sandwich. Talk about heavenly bliss. And all for $7.50, Woooow…Not so much that it was out of this world than simply being perfect for this hungry big man. The best Ive had for sometime. Accompanied with a cup of Joe that also complimented and added to my feel good experience.

Now when I'm craving a steak sandwich Bonjour Montclair will be my to go place. Thank you guys for simply existing so close to me.

  5. Great crepes and great coffee. Fond memories of many brunch and lunch meals there and takeout with my daughter. A charming small Montclair eatery. Always check their specials. Kids love their Nutella crepes.

  6. This place is tiny. So don't go strolling in here with a group thinking you're going to get a table. The dining room (if you call it that) can probably seat no more than 12.

The crepes, however, are delicious and that's all that matters. We opted for 1 savory and 1 sweet to balance things out. The saltiness of the prosciutto on the savory offset the sweetness of the cinnamon apple on the sweet. At first, I was skeptical about paying just under $20 for two crepes, but the portions were very generous. The $4.75 for the large fresh squeeze OJ, on the other hand, was not. The OJ was delicious (and fresh, as advertised), but the cup was no more than 12 oz. Kind of steep.

Aside from the price on the OJ, the only other reasons I'm at 4 stars is because:

    1) They don't accept credit cards. Bonjour! This is 2016. Get with the times.

    2) I didn't care for eating my crepe on a styrofoam plate with a plastic fork and knife, but I think the place is so small, they probably just can't accommodate a dishwasher.

    Side note: Street parking only.

  7. Party of two, please?
Sure, take any seat you like.
    Party of 6 or more?
    Damn it! Timing is everything!
Don't worry, The Crepes, taste better "take out" style anyway.
Why? Styrofoam plate with plastic utensils are not my thing.
Adam D and I went with sweet and salty portions to share.
Nice chunks of on the Cinnamon Apple Crepe, tasty Prosciutto and Pesto Crepe!
Oh yea! I would duplicate and escape, all for my own!
The fresh squeeze OJ, rocking! But not large enough.
Do not bring a large credit line,
    Straight cash flow here!

  8. Bonjour Montclair is my #1 go to place for Outstanding Authentic Crepes!

The crêperie is small with wooden tables inside.
However, Great things do come in small packages.
Some Parisian Style Pictures adorn the cafe. One picture cites the top places to see in Paris.
You order at the counter, Counter service is very friendly.
Should you decide to stay, a server will bring you the food on a platter whether your sitting inside or outside of the café.

My favorite Crepe has Grilled Chicken, Brie,Tomatoes and Pinenuts.
I must have Brie Cheese in all of my crepes :). Have to say all the crepe combinations are very good.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Bonjour Montclair definitely does not skimp on any ingredients in their crepes.
You get what you order and PLENTY of it.

All the crepes come with a small side salad and a slice of a fruit in season.
My past slices of fruits have been fresh watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe.
Delicious fresh and refreshing juices are available. Two of the juices I've had are
    (1) Cucumber and (2) a Combination Carrot and Ginger Juice.
Cappuccino, Expresso and many teas are available too!

    A few Bonjour Montclair extras:
    -Outdoor Seating is available.
    -No credit cards accepted.
    -Open 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
-Non metered and metered parking are available on the street. A small metered parking lot is within walking distance.
