  1. When visiting Little Italy in the BX I go for a few things and Borgatti's is one of them:

    Likes:
    – Freshly made pasta which you can take home to boil.  I always get the Egg Noodle and Squid Ink pasta…..yumm!
    – Fresh made Ravioli which is also very good.  Just make sure to cook them within a few days as it does get spoiled fast.

Cash only so come ready to spend

  2. Still simply the best..   Cavatelli this time and the ravioli — the best around.
I still love the egg noodles the most.
Mr. Borgatti's family sure is running his business well.  RIP Mr. Borgatti!

  3. I love a spot like this. Totally old school and very high quality. They do just a few things and they do them very well. The price is higher than what you'd pay in the supermarket, but it's still great value as you're getting some of the best fresh pasta in NYC. If you're used to eating frozen ravioli out of a microwavable container, drive over the Bronx, pick up a box of fresh spinach ricotta ravioli, and I promise you it'll knock the socks up your Aunt Connie's ass. Guaranteed.

Visiting Borgatti's is a must if you're going to stop by Arthur Avenue. It's easy to miss this place since it's not on Arthur Avenue proper, but it's just a minute or two away and definitely worth the walk.

  4. Love that place near Arthur Avenue, a true must-do when I;m in the area. The pasta is absolutely incredible from the egg noodles to the ravioli to the ink pasta, everything is a hit. When the pasta is cooking at home, you can smell and taste that doughy difference, it's truly incredible. Because you can freeze it up as well, I love to stock up on fresh ricotta or meat and spinach ravioli for a quick amazing dinner at home even weeks later.

  5. Fresh, hand made pasta, cut to your specifications. Worth a trip.

  6. UGH (in a good way)

Borgatti's is one of those places that makes Arthur Avenue famous – people from all over flock here to get a sample of their amazing fresh pastas. This place is the real deal – the definition of old school Italian. It's not uncommon to find a line to get into this place, and every holiday or special occasion I find myself at Borgatti's picking up a few boxes of pasta. While there really isn't a bad thing to get here, my two favorites have to be the manicotti and the cheese ravioli – outrageously good, you can really taste the difference in quality and freshness compared to dried/pre-packaged pastas.

If you make a trip to Arthur Avenue be sure to stop here and pick up some pasta for Sunday dinner – buon appetito!

  7. Went to pick up some more fresh pasta and its the best period!  We came on a Sunday so they only had fresh spinach and plain pasta which we got some of each.  We got dry squid ink and basil and can't wait to eat them.  While waiting for Chris to cut the pasta I noticed they had porcini mushroom raviolis so I brought a box.  Chris heard we were planning on making more stops so he went a head and packed the raviolis in wax paper and aluminium foil to insulate it.  Not only this place have great pasta, they also provide great service.

  8. Amazing fresh-made ravioli that is quite cheap….100 for about $14. The store has been there for decades, as have a lot of other places on Arthur Ave.
