I had decided to check out Turnstyle@Columbus Circle in the morning before work. So bleary-eyed, I got off the 1 Train and subsequently got lost. When I finally found where Turnstyle was, my eyes quickly shot towards the closest caffeine dispensary. Fortunately I resisted the urge to go to that green mermaid and found Bosie Patisserie.
Being one of the smaller cafes in Turnstyle does not take away from the charm at all. Bosie Patisserie's natural wood tables, chairs, and shelving emanates a rustic countryside cafe, making the small space an amazing escape from the mechanical noisiness of the subways.
Being breakfast I decided to order a latte. One of my friends has been raving about how Toby's Estate Beans has produced some of the most delicious coffee that she has ever had. Thankfully my order came out without a cap, which more often than not ruins the latte art (don't judge me). The latte itself was light and smooth. It seemed to achieve that perfect balance between the strong espresso beans and frothed milk.
The strength of Bosie Patisserie is definitely in their wide selection of coffee and tea as well as the atmosphere that they offer in what would otherwise be a fast commuter cafe. Being a Patisserie, I look forward to coming back and sampling some of the breads that they have to offer.
