  1. Awesome! The barista takes his job very seriously. He doesn't rush any orders (even if there is a line). I like that because good coffee takes time?

  2. This tiny little coffee shop is tucked away and easy to miss. Luckily a friend brought me here and I'm glad they did. They coffee is stellar, but you do have to navigate the tiny narrow store to reach caffeine bliss.

The prices are basically the same as any similar coffee shop. I don't live close enough that I would go out of my way, but if this area, I'd drop in rather than going elsewhere.

  3. Location: located on 72nd street, This place is bit too small to be noticed. I believed that I right passed here without noticed for a million times.
Although they are small, they put some arts on their walls making me wanna stay there for a little it long instead of leaving. But they have very very limited seats aka they don't have a table but only a bench.
They also have some collections of doughs donuts… Okay, that's fabulous.

Coffee: americano is $$$ because for a small cup, it's 4 dollars. But it is good. It's strong and good. It is as good as cafe grumpy so I really enjoy it.

    Seriv: nice guy

    Overall: 4 stars.
    May try their latte later

  4. I was definitely excited to try a new coffee place on UWS. Understanding that the space is small, I knew I'd be taking my coffee to go, though they do a good job keeping the few seats up against the wall, allowing the more-common to go order to happen relatively seamlessly.

I got a cold brew ($4), which was ready in a jiffy. It definitely gave me the buzz I was looking for. The overall robustness of the coffee was a little bit less than other cold brews I've had in the city, and a little less naturally sweet. I guess that can be good, but I did find myself adding a little bit of sugar.

With so many options out there, I was not totally blown away, but this is a great option for the neighborhood and brings lots of coffee wisdom to a central UWS block.

  5. The coffee was really good.  So it was nice to stop and have a coffee.  My wife didn't want to stay when she came in and they were blasting heavy metal.  Like death metal.  Haha.  I liked it.  The barista wasn't really helpful as he drank his beer and made coffee.  But the coffee was good.

  6. Wooww! This place is a tiny little whole in a wall, literally! But I had an amazing espresso there

Great service, extremely knowledgeable Barista with great customer skills!

As I was enjoy my espresso I could see and hear Brista cupping coffee! Luckily I will be returning in a couple of days :)) YES!!

The espresso was high acidity but maintaining, the fruits notes like melon and honeydew, good acidity, not the bad kind that makes your hate you ever took that sip!

    I'm a fan!

  7. Cute but tiny coffee shop in the UWS.  If recommend stopping by for high quality espresso drinks and cold brew or to indulge your sweet tooth with a Dough doughnut!  Box Kite has a definite hipster vibe and is very cozy.

Service is very friendly, just one barista behind the tiny counter, but surprisingly efficient.  I went with a cortado and a coconut glazed doughnut for a Saturday morning breakfast and was happy with my choices.  The cortado was smooth with notes of the espresso beans and the cream without much bitterness.  The doughnut tasted fresh.  I was happy that I was able to grab a stool and sit and enjoy my drink and doughnut without feeling rushed.  There was a steady stream of customers coming in and out but I never felt too crowded despite the tiny space.

I will definitely be adding this to my UWS routine! And bonus points for taking credit card.

  8. latte still as good as ever. tried the unicorn for the first time today. didn't expect it to be so expensive but for someone who likes a white russian but can't quite unapologetically drink alcohol at 7am i thought it was a good morning drink for me
