“Each sushi bomb is a perfect explosion of flavour (although I will fess up to a special weakness for the Spicy McBomb).”

“My favorite dish was the shrimp kataifi, jumbo shrimp wrapped in kataifi (thin shredded phyllo dough) and lightly fried.”

  1. this place is amazing and so unique
we walked in around 5:30 for an early dinner for two and were able to get seated right away
the place is small so i can imagine later during the night it gets full fast with a wait or reservations
we ordered a salmon appetizer and then the sushi special of the 3 different types of sushi balls for a total of 9
this was definitely the way to order and so different than other type of sushi/nigiri/shashimi i have ever seen
the fish was fresh and the service was so nice
great style to serve sushi in a romantic setting

  2. The sushi bombs are da bomb! The two tunas ones were my favorite along with the scallop. The tuna tartar and tuna tataki were really good. Everything was well priced. Service was good and attentive and the interior is cute. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

  3. Loved everything! My guy friend and I shared 2appetizers and a party bomb, which is a platter of 12 sushi pieces. I think my friend was full but not satisfied enough. So we were debating if we should get another entree vs dessert. We ended up getting 2 desserts-a green tea flan-type and a chocolate mousse-like dessert (sorry i don't remember the names). Both were good and very unique. I liked the green tea one you definitely cannot taste anything like that anywhere else. Reasonable price and portions are not bad. It's raw fish.. you're not going to get that full anyways 🙂

  4. I read through some of the not so great reviews for this place, but I'm not sure why.  I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary, and our table was waiting reserved for us.  The restaurant is cozy and has more seating than you would think for the typical Williamsburg restaurant.  We ordered some cocktails (the Midori Margarita was incredible) and split the party bomb platter, along with BBQ steak skewers, tempura shrimp, and fried tako balls (a must try).  Everything was incredibly delicious.  The portions aren't huge for the price, but they are no smaller than any other pricey sushi restaurant in the area.  Everything was also incredibly delicious and the service was super attentive.  There wasn't a single item that myself or my boyfriend didn't thoroughly enjoy and we had enough privacy to enjoy ourselves.

Definitely a must visit sushi place in Brooklyn.

  5. Had a late dinner here the other night. Bozu had perfectly fine service, sushi, and drinks, but it didnt seem like a standout place. I think this is probably a great neighborhood spot. Prices are reasonable, food is decent, but nothing to write home about.

  6. the moment we walked into the joint, it was total hipster overload – and red flags began to go up.. with reassurance from my buddy though, i hesitantly put our name down for a 30 minute wait.

the rest of the evening was sake overload and have to say, totally worth the wait. (had two beers next door at Clem's).

service was helpful and friendly. the ambience is cozy and chic. the appetizers were yummy but it was the sushi that was really threw the meal over the top. very fresh fish, the rice was perfect temperature and portion. just writing this review has me drooling for more…

  7. As the 600+ reviews suggest, this place is awesome! We walked in and there was a bit of a wait so we gave our phone number and received a call when a table was ready.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing. I love the different rooms that you keep walking into to finally get to the back room where we were sitted.

They have a very unique place here and I will def be back. The food was absolutely awesome, no complaints. Their sushi is some of the best sushi I have ever had. I only like spicy tuna sushi usually but was here with a friend so we bought one of the samplers. I tried all of them and there was not one that I didn't like – from eel to tuna to whatever else there was. Nothing disappointed. We also got an appetizer but I forget what it was – that too was so yummy.

Service was quick but I had a bit of difficulty understanding the waitress. That's ok as it all worked out in the end. Absolutely walked away happy! They also sold bottles of prosecco which is what we ordered. It was for a reasonable price and less expensive than paying per glass. Can't wait to be back!!

  8. I thought this place was a cool place for contemporary Japanese cuisine. The crowd is young professionals and the place is crazy dark inside. The decor is fun and playful, it kinda has modern Asian decor feel. The food was good but kinda strays away from traditional Japanese, I felt like it was more Japanese fusion than Japanese.

    The food:

Tuna Tar-tar- Marinated with herb oil, served with avocado wasabi mousse, and lemon infused shochu sorbet. I was kinda a skeptic to get this since this dish has been done to death but the version here was very unique and delicious. The tuna was great, it had really nice texture and flavor and all the components worked well together. I say this is a must order, my friends and I really liked this. yelp.com/user_local_phot…

Pork Betty- Pork Belly simmered in sake, rice syrup, soy sauce served with wasabi cream and cilantro. I really liked the flavor of the pork belly, it was super tender and it paired really well with the cilantro. The dish was nice and had a nice fattiness to it but wasn't overkill, it was a good starter. yelp.com/user_local_phot…

Party Bomb Special- Yellowtail Toro Bomb, Hotate Bomb, Mexican Bomb, Spicy Mc. Bomb. This was new to me since the sushi was shaped in a very different way, it kinda felt like nigiri just in a different form. It wasn't really authentic but the flavors weren't bad. yelp.com/user_local_phot…

Yellowtail Toro Bomb- belly part of the yellow tail. I love Yellowtail and the one here was well made and had good flavor. It wasn't exciting but it was a good safe dish.

Hotate Bomb-Scallop from Hokkaido, fresh wasabi. This was my fav piece, the scallop was bursting with sweetness and the fresh wasabi went well with the scallop.

Mexican Bomb- Salmon Toro, avocado, spicy tomatillo salsa. This was a little weird for me but I enjoyed the salmon and avo but the tomatillo salsa was kinda out there for me.

Spicy Mc. Bomb-Tuna, cucumber, spicy mayo, kataifi. This I didn't care for, it felt too Americanized and I wasn't a fan of the kataifi.
