Brasa Rodizio
“The last time was at Churrasqueira Bairrada on Jericho Turnpike and I didn't have a great memory of that visit so I haven't had much desire to go back.”
“The skirt steak melts in your mouth, the salad has a wonderful dressing.”
“Comparable to Churrasqueira Bairrada, which is further down Mineola Blvd. If you're looking for good Portugese food without the wait, definitely keep this place in mind!”

On this day my wife was in the mood for Portuguese, So we chose this place. We arrived pretty early for dinner and it showed as we were the only ones in the dining room.
We were seated pretty quickly and given menus. At this point service started to lack. There was a soccer game on tv and the staff seemed to be preoccupied with the game. We were waiting to order our food but had to wait for a commercial break.
I ordered the churrasco (skirt steak) which comes with rice, black beans, French fries, and vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Everything was delicious including the veggies, and I'm not a veggie guy.
If the customer service was as good as the food, I would've given this place 5 stars. Maybe I should have came on a day when there are no soccer games being televised.
I feel pretty torn about Brasa. On the one hand, the rodizio meats were pretty solid. I particularly liked the turkey sausages that came out first. Plus, in general rodizio is a fun way to be served, and it generally takes the dining experience to another level. On the other hand, this place was very wasteful. I really hope that Brasa has some kind of program/plan in place for what they do with all of the leftovers. Sometimes I'm the kind of guy who can eat a lot of food, but last night, not I or any of my three friends were able to come close to finishing everythjng that we were served. I want to know where all the extra meat, salad, bread, and french fries are going. If you don't care about this kind of thing, then by all means go to Brasa. You'll have a good time. The food is decent and the Sangria was reportedly very sweet. Yet, if you're not a wasteful person, don't order the rodizio. Not only are they true to their offer of all-you-can-eat, but they even go as far as to put more-than-you-can-eat-on-your-plate-before-you've-finished-the-first-of-nine-courses.
So I'm a fan of rodizio, been to many and as someone who loves to eat meat, a rodizio cant be beat(rhyme unintended). I came here on a double date with a good friend and everyone ordered their steaks and I ordered the the rodizio (note that the menu in the restaurant price was the rodizio 3 dollars higher then the online menu price) which was the most expensive item on the menu but I thought for the chance to try the meats I would like to try it was worth it.
The everyone's entree took almost 45 minutes to get to the table and then I waited an additional 10 minutes to get the first opportunity to try have some meat which was some cut up pieces of nicely prepared shell steak. A few minutes later a man came by with some bacon wrapped chicken and I politely turned them down. He paused for a moment and asked if I ate pork to which I replied I do not. Another pause, and then he left. A few minutes later the waitress comes over and explains that if I don't eat pork I have to pay an additional 6 dollars.
So, let me get this straight; I'm already ordering the most expensive item on your menu, which is already more expensive then the price on your website. It then took almost an hour between being seated to receiving our entrees. Finally, just because I don't want to eat the sausage I have to then pay an additional 6 dollars that is mentioned no where on the menu or website?
I explained to the waitress the above issues and when she refused to budge I asked to speak with a manager to which I was then informed she was a manager. At this point I was disrupting the people at my table's lunch so I finally said fine. The waitress as she was walking away over her shoulder then said "Fine I'll give you the normal price this time but know the price is more expensive." Why are you making it sound like you did me a favor? We just argued for 5 minutes and now you are making it seem like out of your benevolence you are granting me an exception. Left a bad taste in my mouth that effected the rest of my meal.
This place needs to get it's act together. Update your prices on your website, update your menu and give updates to your customers so they aren't waiting for an hour without any eta.
Ive never had such a big piece of cod in my life. There was barely any wait for a busy Saturday night and the service was of good quality. You get a good bang for your buck here. The cod came with fries, vegetables, rice and homemade potato chips. The red sangria was very good and worth the price for a pitcher.
Excellent food! Staff was very attentive to all of our needs. The decor is plain, but still have a warm and inviting feel. We will most definitely come back!
Not the same type of feel as typical churrasqueiras.
The décor is very basic, nothing specific to the cuisine. We were immediately served "salad" (aka a bowl of lettuce with a few tomatoes), bread, and olives.
We all did rodizio. The meats were okay, nothing mind-blowing. Plus, we had to request for the meats to come out! That's no fun. The whole point is for the meats to keep coming until you say to stop.
The best part was the dessert, the Heavenly Whites (a parfait-like dish with whipped egg whites, caramel, and crushed cookies). It was indeed heavenly.
My boyfriend's chocolate mousse was good but it tasted pre-made.
Average Long Island prices, $3 for all-you-can-eat. But I'd rather splurge and go somewhere good.
Can't write to much ,, food coma .
Delicious – worth it – go
Thumb is tired it's all I got right now
This place is very nice the staff is great customer service is excellent and our waiter was good he recommended to us what was good and what not to get. Took my wife two nieces and mother in law there on a Saturday night. We had the barbecue chicken sausage and grilled calamari and of course a pitcher of sangria we had their dessert called white heaven and cheesecake. Get the white heaven if that is the correct name it was awesome. We spent about a 100 dollars ate like kings and we had healthy food that wasn't filled with salt and preservatives try going to a chain restaurant and eating like this I don't think you would get food like this at all
