  1. We came here for a drink and a snack before dinner after work. It's SO cute and fun!

There's outdoor seating and different restaurant vendors serving up unique dishes and fun drinks. But, BRING CASH!

We went to the Paella Shack where they had four different types of sangria. We tried the blackberry sangria (Rioja) and the Rosè sangria (Valencia)– both were incredible. They were pretty strong for $8/drink. We tried the mushroom and shrimp croquettes & patatas bravas. The mushroom over the shrimp, for sure… And we couldn't finish the patatas because they were super rich in a red spice sauce & mayonnaise (but they were delicious and cooked to order).

Overall- was really impressed with the unique vendor selection, friendly staff and patrons, and would love to go back for the lobster, poke & ice cream sandwiches.

~~ Word on the street is this place is prime for catching Pokemon, too.

  2. I've been passing by B'way bites for like eveeerrr… Then finally decided I'll suffer the lines and because in Manhattan, if there's a line, it's a must do/eat/drink… (Not always worth it! Ha Ha)

Mr. Bing:  I came here for 1 thing… The Asian version of savory crepe… (Thin floury pancake spread with an egg, scallions, fried noodles, & a sauce then a protein, neatly packed, evenly spread & folded into a square)… Call Jian Bing (which I've had before at a food truck & HK) so my expectations were high, hoping to have a throwback moment… Ahh… Unfortunately this experience was an epic fail (partially my fault for taking it to go – hoping to enjoy it in the comfort (A/C on full blast) of my office… But, partial blame is on the chef who made my Jian Bing too soggy to begin with… The crispiness was MIA… The middle was wet from the ingredients… the edges – yes, thankfully still crunchy! I guess the guy might have over stuffed mine…  I had the bbq pork and no, it was not my 1st choice (wanted the drunken chicken)… It was sold out.

So, in conclusion – 1) meh… It totally did not give me my "throwback"…  2) the hype didn't come thru… And 3) don't get it to go!!! (It's $13 of soggy mess!)

    Happy feasting!

  3. UPDATE 6/30/2016

MELTKRAFT IS MY TOP CHOICE ON BROADWAY!

These tasty sandwiches will bring you to your childhood favorite grilled cheese sandwich and then smack you for thinking that you knew the true glory of the melted construction. Great choices here and very creative ingredient mixes in each one. not to mention that this stand is probably the best bang for your buck in the joint. For no more than $10 you can get one of MeltKraft's specialties with a bag of chips. Definitely take a stop here and let your arteries party a bit.

    __________________________________________________________

An annual blessing for the summer months!

Take a break from chick-fil-a and your normal sandwich and stop by one or two of the stands at broadway bites! They have a wide array of options and you'll definitely find something that'll fully satisfy your buds.

  4. Love the concept of having these seasonal spaces within the park or plaza spaces where you can sample food from different restaurants without having to go to the establishment.  Upon walking through the two spaces set up for broadway bites, I decided on trying Gotham Poke's bowl.  Fortuanately, they had a vegetarian option which consist of gotham grain blend (brown/red/black rice, barley and rye) and I loaded up on the pickled shitake mushrooms, purple potatoe, sweet portato, marinated tofu, edamame, toasted almond, pumpkin seed, and chili citrus soy dressing topped with yuzu avocado.

My mouth was watering as I read the ingredients and once my tongue tasted that concoction, it was on to eating it til the last drop.  I washed this deliciousness down with a hibiscus lemongrass drink.

Would definitely go back and try some of the other bases with the veggie bowl.

  5. I stumbled onto this food eatery by mistake.. Before making a final decision I figured I would give this place a few tries.
First time I was pretty thirsty crabbed a Hurricane from the Gumbo bros , drink was good but I bit pricey In my opinion.
Melt Kraft was my first stop yumm who doesn't love a grilled cheese sandwich ? I had the Fresh Mozz sandwich , homemade mozzarella with tomato this was delicious .. Super hot when I got it & practically falling apart made for a messy time eating it , came with sea salt chips not bad.
After this I needed a little something sweet had some Ice cream from Casa Toscana , very good I tried the Fiordilatte & black cherry , $5 for a small size this was just right.
My second visit tried the Pizza Rice balls from Arancini Bros 3 for $5 not a bad deal , rice ball was very good nice taste with the cheese & sauce.
Next the Croquettes from The Paella Shack also 3 for $5 & u can mix them good deal , tried the Ham   & Chicken & egg comes with a garlic aioli dipping sauce good ham nice & creamy ,  the chicken & egg were very good both good when dipped in the sauce.
Tacos Delicatessen was the next stop tried the Taco Al Pastor this is adobo pork w roasted pineapple & salsa roja minus the onions overpriced at $5 dollars for 1 taco but it was very good, good flavor with the meat & sauce.
This quick bite eatery is not bad a lot of good options , many seem to be Asian type food , also quite a few Spanish options.
Prices for the most seem to run between $5-12 depending on what u are getting not terrible a bit over priced specially for what u get but certainly can be worse.
Over all good enough & cheap enough to give it a try.

  6. It's super convenient! The variety is astonishing!
So many people pass through this area, either for work, to shop, or to eat.
It right next to the Herald Square Station (B,D,F, M) and the 33rd PATH station
K-town is just around the corner

Expect to wait 5-15 minutes for food, it depends on how long the line is and what you order.
Average prices for things Snacks $4-6, Meals $8-$16 ($18~ Red Hook Lobster Roll Exception), Desserts $5 for desserts

    Mr. Bings
    Northern Chinese Street Food!
Fried pancake, with an egg, scallions. Tried the duck and the BBQ pork. I highly reccommend the BBQ pork one! and if you want a kick, add some of their chili sauce. So goood and different!

    Arancini Bros NYC
Fried Rice Balls: Mushroom, Pizza, and Nutella
Interesting and has a slight crunch to them when your teeth sink into them.

    Gotham Poke
Their Poke Nachos!! The attendant suggested the pulled pork, and I went with it! Their "tortilla chips" are lighter, and the sauce makes it softer to eat in a good way. It's covered in two brightly covered sauces, one of which is a Srriacha mayo, topped with thin slivers of seaweed.

    Hai Street
    Salmon Sushi Burrito
jicama and its fresh crunch threw me off guard. But it's a pretty good burrito, it's very filling and the fish is fresh. Props for the cool environmentally friendly packaging!

    Zha
The award-winning Ricini? rice balls. The flavor that day was Teriyaki Mushroom with a side of creamy whitish sauce. Thumbs up in my book. comes with colorful Shrimp chips

    The Paella Shack by Baraka
It's not the best paella I've tried but the mussels and shrimp are good and they come with this buttery sauce that's kinda addicting
Fried stuff=Croquettas (deep fried potato balls with ground beef inside)

    Enfes
Turkish Street Food! Something you don't see every day. It's large, flaky wrap, cheese and spinach insides.

    MeltKraft
    Friendly staff
Brielle! ($8.75) contains brie, cranberry chutney, onions on brioche bread. I love the choice of bread and brie but I think the chutney got lost in it.
Comes with a bag of potato chips!

    Dundu
    African
They ran out of chicken that day, but the spice rubbed tilapia was decent, overall I thought the dish was dry (bite size plantains, side of cole slaw, dirty rice). The cone shaped gelatinous bean pudding was something different, I thought it soft and cuddly on my tongue and I couldn't stop eating it or I at least tried to save it to balance it with the rest of the dish.

    DESERT

Macaron Parlor (original location is in St. Marks)
Maple Bacon (Maple syrup overpowers the piece of bacon in there)
    Pistachio

    Melt
    Ice Cream Sandwiches
Tried their Red Velvet Muffin-top-like with cream cheese ice cream!

  7. BRING CASH – NOT ALL VENDORS TAKE CARD
This summer and fall pop up in Greeley Square showcases a diverse mix of cuisines and concepts, lot of variety; fairly expensive relative a regular lunch, expect to pay more than $20 if you wanna sample a few booths, at least $8-$15 if you can fight the urge and stay at one..

This feels like a carnival, you can't help but feel elated as you walk and look up at all the various goodies, it's so fun, if they had a cotton candy stand that would seal the deal!

    Delicatessen Taco
-Brisket Taco: Sounded good, tasted terrible. Dry brisket, something was crunchy, yuck

    Domo Taco
-Not bad Japanese-Mexican fusion, spicy sauce is really spicy be careful, pork taco was good

    Jicama California Street Food
-Jicama chicken tacos were amazing; shrimp is good too; jicama wrap gives nice crunch; favorite taco booth of the bunch

    Cannibal Dogs
-Cannibal Dog with chili was okay, but way too much cilantro. Tasted like a regular hot dog with a weird texture inside, small snap; try the IPA mustard – delicious

    Renegade Lemonade
-Really cool fresh twists on classic lemonade; Strawberry Basil was good, slightly sweet but balanced by the herbaceous floral basil; they have growlers too lol

    Red Hook Lobster Roll
-not too impressed with bread, Lobster chunks were meaty but tough, watch out for pieces of shell

    Other Yelpers RAVED:
    – The Truffliest Philly Cheesesteak
    – Zha/ Arancini Bros NYC Rice Balls
    – Hai Street Salmon Sushi Burrito
    – Korean BBQ
    – Doughnuttery Doughnuts & Macaron Parlour

  8. I came across this spot while leaving Koreatown. I instantly regretted eating lunch before. However, it didn't stop me from munching a little bit more. Even though I was a hot mess from walking around since the am, the food was worth sitting outside for. I had a banana and Nutella crepe and the lobster macaroni. I also couldn't help but get a fresh coconut to quench my thirst. I plan to come hungry next time so I can try everything.
