  1. I've lived in the neighborhood for three years, but never gone here until the "blizzard" of '09 hit.

It's a little bit more restaurant-y than bar; there's a lot of booths — but it's a big space and our realllly friendly waitress put up with a lot of banter (I'm not particularly entertaining, but she didn't let it show).

There's no happy hour, instead there's drink specials that last all night. On Saturday the special was 13 dollar pitchers of BK Lager, Bud Light, or Miller Light. We got 4 big glasses out of the pitcher. I didn't try the food, but a brownie sundae thing went by that had me drooling in an unattractive, rabid dog way.

Last and least, if you're sports-inclined, there's like 8 TVs and a speaker box on each table that lets you tune in to your preferred event.

  2. Your basic run of the mill dive bar under the tracks of the N Q. Come here for a cheap happy hour drink ($5 sky vodka mixed drinks can't be beat).

  3. This place is solid. That's it.

It's not the food paradise of Astoria, and it isn't the hippest bar in town. But the people are usually nice, the bar tenders and servers pretty nice and they have a regular bar menu that doesn't taste like shit! So hey, SOLID!

I've come here many times for Steelers games. There's a Steeler contingent in Astoria you ask? Why, Yes there is! You can find them there nearly every game!

Potato Skins on the menu are awesome, and they have recently started a $10 pitcher deal there during the games. Good Stuff!

Tons of TVs, never too crowded, only a block away from the Broadway Station! (did you get it?)

  4. Still zero complaints about the food in this place. Had the beef tacos tonight and so delicious! I couldn't finish them though lol You get what you pay for!

  5. Having TVs in every booth is awesome.  Having service that actually brings you what you are really there for (drinks and food) is WAY better.  Our table, in a fairly empty restaurant, had to wait 20-30 minutes for our food, 10-15 minutes for our drinks and they came out WRONG.  We repeated our orders to the waiter and when we were missing a dish, she tried to argue with us that we never ordered it.  And then we even tried to jog her memory because we asked her a question about the dish before ordering…and her answer "Well it wasn't clear that you wanted the dish."  Seriously.

Go for beers and stay at the bar.  The food is just OK, there are plenty of other places to go to in Astoria.

  6. AWESOME karaoke!

I enjoyed that they have their own brew, that they are located so close to a train, that they have almost any song you can imagine in their computer, that the guy doing karaoke is a sweetheart, that their bar stools are comfortable, that the bartenders are all a ton of fun and participate, and that people tolerated listening to me!!! Loved it!

  7. Pretty damned good sports bar located right off the train in Astoria. I came in here to watch Porzingas and ended up talking with the bartender about basketball for hours. Good guy. Hopefully I'm back here again someday.

  8. Nice little neighborhood Bar and Grill with a welcome feel. I felt very comfortable on my first visit today and enjoyed my visit. Broadway Station is a good size place with a nice long bar and plenty of tables for seating. There are 12 plus well place TVs throughout the Bar with lots of sports on.

Service was very friendly and efficient. Daytime bartender engaged in conversation with me which I thought was a very nice touch. Very nice regular clientele.

There was a large selection of 12 drafts and 12 bottle beers. Liquors appeared to be standard but varied and nicely displayed. Happy Hour from 11 AM to 7 PM daily. Varies beer and liquor specials. Beers $3.50 and liquor $5. I found Happy Hour to offer something for everyone. It was not your standard dollar off on selection. Additional evening Happy Hour for each day of the week. Drink and Beer specials all at $5.

Overall, this is a nice place for a drink and a burger. Plenty of TVs and a good choice if in the area of Broadway and 31 Street, Astoria.
