My favorite market is still the Union Square greenmarket. However, unless I have something else to do in the city, I'm not often going to take the train in on a Saturday just to go to the farmers market.
It's good to have a farmers market nearby, but the variety is lacking. I can find the staples like fresh green garlic and onions, but none of the unusual produce that makes visiting a farmers market so much fun. I love it when I stumble across something I've never seen before and that's not likely to happen here.
