This is a fairly unique place; it's a liquor store with a small door in the back that leads to a very small bar.
Once during a multi-day snowstorm/blizzard my girlfriend and I were getting a little stir crazy and decided to go on a nighttime walking adventure to this shady location for some drinks. It was a memorable experience which, quite honestly is the ONLY reason I even know about this bar/liquor store.
That day the tiny bar was definitely full of some rough looking characters that were not afraid of weather and were willing to adventure out in the blizzard to get some drinks. Sometimes I wonder what kind of people actually hang out this bar during normal weather.
If there is ever a blizzard again I will probably take a hike to go and check it out since it Seems to never closed during bad weather or power outages and it is one of the closest bars to my house In River Edge.
3-stars for staying open in crazy weather and providing a warm place to socialize and drink with other roughnecks that were not intimidated by weather.
Small little liquor store. Prices are more than what you'd find at the larger stores and grocery stores (Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio usually is on sale at $20 elsewhere while here is $28).
But there is a little bar in the back and the staff is friendly. Also, it does the trick when you live right across the street and throw a lot of parties. It's a quick pit stop for any essentials I may need!
