  1. $1.00 mimosas.  I could leave it at that…. BUT the food is tasty and the atmosphere is great.  Had the fried whiting, fried chicken, grits and Mac and cheese washed down with countless mimosas on a Sunday afternoon all was enjoyable. Chicken was especially well seasoned and crispy.   Our server was a lot of fun and we appreciated her enthusiasm and humor.  Check this place out you will not be disappointed.

  2. $4 Margaritas and Martinis. How can you beat that?

Met up with my cousin to finally try this spot out. Ordered a few drinks, calamari (clearly I have a thing for fried squid tentacles) and their Mac and cheese which looked so good in the photos. Everything was great. The drinks were nice and strong.

The best part?  After 6 drinks, and 2 appetizers, our bill was only $39!!! #Winning

  3. I have to first say I don't know of this place doesn't have an AC or they just don't turn it on. So, don't go there on a hot day, you may melt. I came here for brunch.  I got the fried chicken. It was okay but could have used more seasoning. The mimosas are cheap and good. I went once but haven't been back yet. With the amount of brunch spots in Brooklyn this one is not on the top of list. I wouldn't lemonade it completely. I may return to try them again.

  4. I really enjoyed the few starters we got here but I agree with the 3.5 star rating because service was a bit off. My party of 4 showed up close to 10 on a rainy Thursday evening and with plenty of tables to spare, the hostess/whoever greeted us was nervous about giving us a table because we only planned on getting drinks. She ultimately gave us the table but told us we'd have to move if it got busy. Seeing as how it was raining and they were closing up at 10:30, I don't think there was any need for that.

Once we sat down, our appetites got the better of us so we ordered food as well—jerk chicken wings and spicy fries to be exact. The wings, 7 per order, were cooked perfectly and well spiced, and the meat was melt-of-the-bone tender. The fries, which were more spiced than spicy, were addicting thanks to whatever spices they were coated in and their accompanying Caribbean ketchup. It was also a pretty sizable plate of fries.

In terms of drinks, I ordered the Red Rum. It was tasty but small. The denser mango nectar sits on the bottom of the cup and doesn't mix well so I kinda sipped the rum/red wine and mango in a silly up and down motion. I also had a sip of someone else's grapefruit beer. That was delish.

  5. A friend and I went to this spot on the strength that I couldn't be bothered with the shenanigans taking place at a nearby restaurant.

The food here was pretty darn good, very darn filling, and yea the food was great.

The drinks were priced well, and though tasty not too strong.

The service was kind of slow and there was a mix-up with our appetizer order which was quickly resolved. The servers were friendly and well-mannered despite this.

The bathroom was a nice size and had all the necessary toiletries but that thang was not clean enough, at all.

The band that was playing was really good but I don't think they fit the vibe of the afterwork food and drinks scene.

I'd come back but on a less crowded day.

  6. Brooklyn Moon. ….Great location.great vibe. great wait staff.  The salmon caesar salad was ok. not enough salmon, not even 4oz of fish. the french fries were ok.  Services was great. Sarah was attentive to our needs. I will return. Happy hour is until 8. woohoo!  Brooklyn Lager was delicious as usual.

  7. I love love love this place. It is small, it is BROWN and it is delicious.

In a world of Brooklyn gone mad and an over abundance of " coffee shops and hip bars" it is nice to be in a place that reminds you of all the culture and flavor the Brooklyn offers.

To be absolutely frank my appeal to this place was a combinations of all the brown faces seated and the live jazz playing in the background.

The place is small but the atmosphere is comforting and the service is good.

Because it is a smaller establishment the wait time for food is LONG but I will say there was no issues once we received our food.

Keep doing your thing Brooklyn Moon !

  8. Easily identified amongst the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the warmest smiles and the plant life surrounding the outside gave me a feel of authenticity in the palette adventure that was about to take place. There are about 6 different champagne and juice combinations offered at $1.00 a piece…..even better than bottomless prices at most places, you would agree I am sure.

I had the BBQ Chicken wings (naked) with Mac and Cheese/Greens….someone's grandmother from down south is back there cooking – SHE HAS TO BE, the food was phenomenal without a need for any other seasoning. I would definitely go back for the eclectic decor, great table service and prices!
