The Brooklyn Sweet Spot, formerly known as CakeJoy Bakery, is a dessert shop that offers freshly baked goods on a daily basis. Come by & check out a variety of mouthwatering cupcakes like Red Velvet, White Chocolate Raspberry, or my favorite Banana Pudding. Try a delicious treat like the Cheesecake Brownie or the tasty Strawberry Shortbread Cookies. They also make an amazing Banana Pudding dessert, which they will let you sample.
The woman behind the counter was nice & very patient as she took care of me & several other sugar addicts all by herself, so she gets a 5 for service.
The Brooklyn Sweet Spot offers custom cake & catering services so stop by or give them a call for more information on how to order these awesome baked goods.
It's okay. For the area, probably 4 stars, but rating it against other cupcake places in New York, it's okay. Georgetown Cupcakes is my barometer for any cupcakes that I try, and while the cake here is moist, overall a bit too sweet.
They had a sign out in front of their store that said the banana pudding cupcake was their cupcake of the day, and I was excited to try it but it was no where to be seen! There weren't too many cupcakes to be seen, which can be a good sign, but I'm not quite sure that was the case here. For example, the sign outside also advertised various types of iced teas…but when I went to order a cup, they didn't have any =/
My daughter noticed this cupcake spot while we were on our way to a restaurant a few doors down. We stopped by after we left and got several cupcakes. They were delicious! I cannot remember every flavor we ordered but the pineapple rum cupcake is what I ate and it was awesome! Their cupcakes are a nice size and reasonably priced.
Stopped here to grab an after school snack. The coffee was okay. Cupcakes are really big and I think $4.5 or something a piece. The vanilla was really good. The chocolate had a strange minty flavor to it. Girl working was very sweet. Would return to try something else though. It seemed like they may have recently opened and I love the idea of a new local bakery. Go support them.
