They have a wonderful selection of all sorts of booze. Despite the name, they have a great liquor selection as well. I could spend an hour looking at their whiskey wall (they even have some Japanese ones). Speaking of Japanese, if you're looking for sake or plum wine or nigori, they have that in the back too. It's a bit pricy, but par for the course for the neighborhood. Super nice people working here too.
Pretty good prices . It's really small. I visit after I get groceries next door (trader joes). To be honest they're not the most authentic friendly people. When I buy wine I like someone who can take a minute and enjoy explaining to me what wines they recommend . The few times I've been here I felt like they were ready to just walk away so quickly after I asked a question. trader joes wine store doesn't do that to me and they are bigger and busier ……
This is the coolest wine shop in the already cloyingly cool Cobble Hill. The customer service is very patient and attentive void of any pretense. They have frequent tastings and FREE classes. They also offer classes you can take for a nominal fee, all of which are great. They usually offer a discount to purchase bottles of wine featured in the classes.
This place is great on its own, but it is sooooo conveniently located next to places you'd purchase groceries at. So if you're cooking dinner (let's be real, you're getting prepared food), pick up a bottle of wine or two. While you're there, sample some of their featured offerings. Or just say hello because they're so nice over here.
This place is a go to since Trader Joe's doesn't sell wine. Found their selection of whiskey, scotch and other libations. They also have extremely knowledgable staff members. Free tastings throughout the week and weekend. You can definitely find deals here as well. Two thumbs up over here.
Large selection of wine & booze but the hospitality is limited.
This place always makes me feel unwelcome. I don't know what it is — I've popped in looking to grab a quick bottle, hoping for a pairing recommendation and another time asked to do the tasting they were advertising outside. Both instances I was met with the unfriendliest of vibes and too high prices.
I've been walking past ever since.
Long overdue review of a very nice liquor shop. The staff is always very friendly. The selection is always fantastic and they don't try to kill you with ridiculous prices on the hard to find items. Great store.
My go-to wine store – very conveniently located next to Trader Joe's. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Great selection of wine (and good range of prices) – the cheaper wines are displayed on the table which is great if you're looking to grab something at a decent price. They often have tastings here and the tastings aren't for bottles that are always expensive – have seen decent $12 bottle tastings. FYI – They also carry a good amount of liquor, not just a wine store.
Whether you are grabbing a bottle for a party, a romantic date, or need a weekend drink, this is really the best place to pick up wine!
I can always count on this spot to find anything my taste buds desire. I like red or white wines with a fruit note and lucky for me, there is plenty. Family and friends had always enjoy the selections that I bring home. I would like to point out that I like how clean and how neatly organized the store is. It makes it easy for customers like me to find the country, region, red or wine, and descriptions. Not to mention, wide variety of wine from different regions of the world. There is also a table of weekly selected wines with a generous discount price. If you are interested in hard liquor, whiskey, or sake; they have it here as well!
There are weekly classes held here such as Rose 101. I do enjoy the fact that they are so willing to educate and share their love for wine with everyone! Cheers!
