  1. For my first time ordering and eating inside Browny, I have no complaints. I appreciated that one of the staff workers greeted me as I walked in the door. I think it was great that they had a tray of free samples (of their pastries) on the counter.

When I saw that they ran out of their Silver Moon tea, the staff worker helpfully pointed out that the Earl Grey was their 2nd most popular choice, which I went with. My croissant was fresh, chewy, and flaky, just the way it's supposed to be.

I think having two bathrooms was a great call, and I was pleased to discover that they clean everything in their bathrooms every two hours, so they're super clean.

In terms of their music, Browny plays some really solid classics– Mr. Brightside, Lloyd's Southside, Blink 182's All the Small Things, for example.

  2. This place is the best place in Flushing to really focus on one's studies or get lost in a conversation.

To keep it sweet and short, Browny provides the ideal environment to really chill and enjoy all the best elements of a coffeeshop. Their coffee menu is quite simple and is made with delicious coffee beans from Brooklyn Roasting Company. The snacks they provide are also simple and high-quality, with donuts from Dough and cheesecake from Junior's (really unique addition, have not seen this anywhere in Flushing yet). The seating area? Impeccable. Huge windows line the walls which bring in a bunch of natural light and each wall has outlets galore! Hooray!

I'm almost ashamed to not have known about this store before, but it's precisely Browny's kind of dedication to serving a memorable coffeeshop experience that will keep me coming back for more.

  3. Nice ambiance, delicious doughnuts, and the most tremendous affogatos I've ever seen in my life!   Seriously… the affogatos here are huge!   There's an "upstairs" (kinda) for seating.   Anyone who complains about the prices need to have their heads checked.  The doughnuts here would feed a small army.

The woman at the counter — I couldn't place her family's country of origin.  Maybe South American from Guyana?  She has the biggest, most welcoming smile ever.  And she called my daughter cute, which is always the way to endear one's way to a proud father!

  4. Terrible iced coffee. They literally just pour hot coffee over a ginormous cup of ice. I also saw people walking around with iced cups of water with a teabag sticking out of it, so it's safe to  assume their process for brewing iced coffee and ice tea are the same. This place is not a cafe. It should be considered an art gallery with a lounge that serves bad coffee.

  5. They read, and they listened. They now have soy and almond milk. Not sure about the tea options, but I'm glad they're lookin out for lactose intolerants like me.

Also, they've added a lot more tables and seating on the second floor area so it's much more packed with people now.

  6. Coffee was fine, wasn't amazed at the taste of it because I was expecting a more unique taste to their coffee especially after reading the descriptions of their coffee grounds origins…

+: accepts credit card, sells doughnuts from dough but is 50 cents more than the original price at dough, mini junior cheesecakes $4, has seating, clean feeling

    -: a bit pricey for coffee $2.5 for a small hot??? Interesting…..

This has a city feel to it and I admire the paintings in the cafe. I would go here again if I absolutely have no other way to get coffee nearby and dont want to go to Bench, another cafe nearby.

  7. This place is a hidden gem – great coffee, delicious pastries, and very interesting decor.  Service here is spectacular and I find that it's much more airy and spacious than most coffee shops that squeeze in its patrons to maximize seats.

  8. I will start by saying that although i walked in  with the intention of eating in, we were not able to find a seat due to the fact that students have taken over the tables.  1 person with a laptop spread all his crap over a table of 4, really? Talk about inconsiderate.
Anyways i bought 4 donuts 2 ice coffee and i had to walk out very upset. As for the donuts we got the mocha, cafe ole, habiscus and a coffee caramel donut. All of them were delicious. I guess i will have to settle for take out every time…
