Been here couple of times. Chicken kobabs are good. Reasonable prices. However it was def much better tasting 5 years ago. Not v cosistent taste. Ok for lunch.
The food is absolutely delicious, but you MUST call at least 30 minutes ahead to place your order (for pickup). They are super busy with dine-in's as well as pick-up's.
I recommend getting the kebabs and do not recommend the chicken tikka platter (it's fine but just not as special as the kebabs).
Would be interested in trying their curry.
With a bunch of indian/pakistani restaurants lining hillside ave and union tpke, this one stands out. Having visited the place twice, it definitely is one of the better choices in this area for fresh desi food.
As compared to other desi restaurants, this place is clean, appealing, and the fresh food fragrance is quite captivating.
On the menu, Boneless chicken tikka's are flavorful and moist. The gyro platter is average. ONE HAS TO TRY THEIR GOLA KABAB. This is my favorite on the menu, especially when served in the paratha roll.
Overall, after two visits, the food still stood out as above-par for the vicinity. This place is definitely worth a visit for some good food at excellent prices and it beats the drive to Jackson Heights, if one is simply going for food…
I'm surprised at the wrath here. As for service, while they didn't seem especially happy to see me at first, the whole process was reasonably friendly and efficient, including a helpful menu briefing for the novice.
I got the goat biryani, a large $10 offering. Occasionally I think "eh, it's just rice" but the spicing was outstanding (there are different spice ranges for the biryanis here, I was told.) The white sauce was a nice counterpoint to the fire. The goat itself wasn't very abundant or memorable, but I will definitely return for the captivating flavoring and will try some parathas and other items.
