This is a no frills place to eat food that doesn't cost you the same price as if you were getting a much nicer meal downtown (frickin upper east side b.s. and trickery I tell UA). Come by if you're cool with the barely there 10 seater grill with a tiny hidden restroom and usually filled with middle aged men watching football on my trip since it was Sunday. Seems like they have their regulars since the prices don't lie.
The fries actually have salt on them and the burgers are hunks of edible ground meat with a few options for toppings. Mine wasn't so greasy or rich in particular because I think cheese would have helped that situation but hey, a filling meal for less than 10 dollars in the upper east without a franchise name attached?? Heck the franchises charge more for their b.s. errr food.
I can't give them an amazing rating because one I don't want you to swarm this joint and two it's just a-ok food but this basic meal may be elevated by the cost benefits if that's important to you. I'm going to try more options and change my rating if the Mexican food is on point (skeptical as of now).
Our go to ordering place for burgers when we want to stay home and be sloths. The prices for the burgers are amazing and delivery is pretty fast – usually 30-40 min as they advertise. The only downside is they tend to close faiy early – on weekends you have to order before around 6ish. We usually get a New York burger (one each) and make it a deluxe – for 2.50$ extra on top of the regular burger price, you get lettuce, tomatoes and a decent side order of fries. The fries are my favorite part – very potatoes. Sometimes they do get the temperature of the burger wrong – I usually like mine medium well to well done but one time got a medium burger with pink inside – just plopped it into the microwave and got rid of the pink. But I really can't complain for the convenience of fast delivery and cheap burgers and fries.
We ordered from Seamless during the start of the blizzard this week. The burgers arrived hot and the 8oz patty juicy and cooked the way we ordered. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
A great hole in the wall burger place. The place is small with only a a few seats and no bathroom. I had the chili cheese burger. It came out perfectly cooked and with a large amount of chili. So much chili I couldn't possibly eat the burger with my hands. I sure did try though. It was just as good with a fork an knife. The fries were pretty decent as well. If you're in the area stop in for a burger you will not regret it.
Nice cozy burger place on Lexington near the 77th St stop on the 6 line. Credit cards are accepted, and I believe they also deliver food for people who use Seamless.
I got the Mexican cheeseburger because the place is known for being both a burger place and a Mexican place. You can get a regular burger for ~$5 or get the deluxe for a little over $8, which gives you all the veggies on the burger.
The size of the patty was nice, about an inch thick, but it's not seasoned at all, not even with salt or pepper. All of the flavor comes from the toppings that you get on the burger. If the meat was better, I think I would've have bumped up the rating from 3 to 4 stars because I liked the place.
Great cheeseburger – cooked perfectly to a medium and very juicy. Fries were pretty good as well. It's a small low-key spot (no bathroom) but it's clean and they are very nice in there.
Lots of different burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and breakfast items on the menu
I would definitely be back if I'm in the neighborhood again craving a burger.
Cheap and delicious!
Service was fast and friendly. Really like the food here. Definitely will go again!
They do take credit cards, and it's a small place, but the food was great!
Just had their breakfast special- 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, toast and coffee-it can come with bacon, ham, or sausage and they were able to give me turkey sausage. Came out to ONLY $6 (this included tax and I believe it's from 6 am-10 am)
Eggs=cooked perfectly with great texture
home fries =delicious and not overly seasoned toast=perfectly toasted without an overwhelming amount of butter
Turkey sausage=not salty and nicely seasoned. Coffee= perfectly balanced amount of milk and 1 sugar proportioned, lovely
This is definitely my new breakfast spot.
