First time in my life I ever had BBQ without the BBQ Sauce but 2nd time my family and I ordered from Burnet BBQ for delivery.
We ordered the large BBQ ribs that comes with 2 sides of your choice, we chose the rice w/mixed vegetables and Black Beans as our additional sides for a total cost of $15 which is not bad considering this feeds 3 to 4 comfortably and a little less per person if someone is extra hungry. For BBQ Ribs without the sauce the ribs here are flavorful, very tender and on point, both the rice and beans went perfectly with our order was delicately seasoned and delicious.
Baked Chicken was ordered as a large order so again it comes with a choice of sides and we did the same with the chicken as with the ribs. The Baked Chicken was very good although some members of my family thought it was a bit salty and still went back for seconds. I thought the seasoning was fine but to each its own.
Shrimp with Garlic Sauce was my sisters order and feedback was way too much sauce and the Shrimps could've been bigger of which I agree too! The Shrimps came swimming in a powerhouse of Garlic sauce that had a very liquid consistency and were drowned in an abudance of a garlicy oily liquid with some of it having spilled out into the bag in transit.
With the above noted my sister thought the Shrimp in Garlic was just o.k.. (In other words this is probably not going to be a re-order), I know my peoples.
We chose salad for our side with the Shrimp dish and I gotta give it to Burnet they sure give you a nice large fresh green crisp salad to share that comes with a light vinaigrette.
Some Thoughts…
I asked for a side of BBQ Sauce since I'm not used to having ribs without some sort of sauce of which I was told they charge .50 cents additional for. Are you Kidding ?!! I'm ordering a large order of BBQ Ribs – How is it you have the audacity to charge me for BBQ Sauce?
OK so I said add the BBQ sauce to the delivery order then, I wanted my sauce, but guess what, I never got the sauce.
The other thing is how is it that you accept credit / charge cards but are unable to process this type of transaction for over the phone delivery orders? Why?
Delivery time was about 45 minutes the last time we ordered and 35 minutes the 1st time not bad considering it was the weekend this time.
Overall we liked the BBQ Ribs & Baked Chicken with the sides we had and including that nice fresh salad, delivery time was within reason, price to portion ratio is excellent and we would defintely order from here again probably not the Garlic Shrimp though.
