  1. I've been here twice now and enjoyed myself both times. It has a really cool atmosphere first of all. Nice lighting and good music, as well as a film being projected on the wall! There are not a lot of seats but the bar is very long and there are some small tables for groups in the back.

The bartenders are so friendly here. They greet you when you come in and will take your order at your table even. We even got waters without asking for them.

The menu has a lot of choices! From drinks to desserts they have some fun things. All the drinks have catchy names related to pop culture such as ghosting or the one I had which was "no it's Becky". This drink was a bit expensive but pretty good. I liked how gingery it was and came in a big glass. Previously I had one of the desserts and a hot toddy which were both really good.

I would definitely recommend this place for a date or a small birthday get together as they have some good looking cake slices!

  2. Ten years ago you would had never seen a place like this in Crown Heights. This place looks like a mom and pop candy shop. Its super small so don't plan to come here with a group of ppl but it is very cute. I just so happened to be in the area looking for a drink and stumbled upon this place. The bartender made the drinks very strong which is a plus plus if you ask me. If you're wandering around Crown Heights looking for a place that is open late this is your place!

  3. What's not to love about this place? My very favorite thing is the nudie, a chocolate chip cookie with no chocolate chips. It's a dream come true. Not only do they not judge me for picking chocolate chips out of my cookie, but they deliver it to me sans chips! Where has this place been all my life?

They also have good cocktails with awesome names. I had the "Lost My Phone Who Dis." Honestly, with a name like that, who cares what the drink tastes like? But to add to the joy, it was also delicious.

I didn't have any of the adult milkshakes, but will certainly return soon to do so.

Friendly service, fun music. All around great vibes.

  4. I absolutely adore this place. The birthday cake was amazing and so was the ambiance. It's really cute and cozy with excellent desert and drink options!

  5. The perfect intermezzo. After dinner, pre-the next spot.

A friend and I went to dinner then trekked to Brooklyn to try out Butter & Scotch. He got a cocktail, while I opted for the ice cream sandwich. Hands down, this was one of the best ice cream sandwiches I've ever had. I got the one nude and one chocolate chip cookie with classic vanilla ice cream. The cookies were perfectly soft, while still being substantial enough to hold a healthy heap of ice cream. I ended up separating the sandwich and saving one cookie for later. In addition to really good quality ice cream, this was a great treat. The bar itself isn't necessarily fancy, but I think it works well for what they're doing. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of were the servers. I thought the lady who served us was a little on the rude side, and when I asked another bartender for a spoon, she seemed to act like I asked her to move a few mountains for me. Overall, the treat was great, but they can work on service.

  6. The smores pie is incredible, although you'll feel like you just mainlined simple syrup for the next few hours. Drinks aren't bad either, but the desserts are definitely where it's at

  7. There's basically never a time where I don't want a champagne/birthday cake combination ($14), so pretty sure Butter & Scotch is my soulmate. Came in to beat the heat on a Sunday afternoon, and all the tables were empty. The s'mores pie was probably the best thing I tried; the key lime pie was underwhelming. Overall though, all bars should serve dessert and a few cheese things.

  8. I would have never thought that some of these scotch cocktails (or a scotch milk shake for that matter) would work.  The oaky taste with the sweetness was surprisingly good.  I tried the following…

Twue Wuv: a scotch cocktail with triple sec, brown sugar liqueur, cream, bitters, egg.  This is a slightly frothy drink, the sweetness and the brown sugar pair twith the scotch well.

The Nameshake: a milkshake with scotch, butterscotch caramel, vanilla ice cream, and toffee.  I never would have thought that this would be good.  It is surprising how well the scotch goes with the ice cream.

Dear Diary: earl grey-infused vodka,  elderflower liqueur, mathilde poire liqueur, orange bitters.  Also sweet, but the earl grey flavor goes very well with this drink.  You could taste the booze a little more than the others as this was not quite as sweet, but still sweeter than what I would normally drink.  Well thought out and put together.

Bourbon ginger pecan pie was very rich and tasty.  I could have used a little more of a substantial crust, but made for a very good bite of pie.

Service was quick enough.  This place got crowded quickly after dinner.
