“We ordered the Quinoa Taco Salad, the Guac Burger (came with a side of slaw) and the Soup of the Day (corn chowder).”
“What really elevates this burger to the next level is the chipotle aioli, which is flavorful and adds a nice kick.”
“The employees will cut open the coconut for you and you can keep it; it has coconut meat in it that you can eat later.”

Cocktail of the month – coconut mojito, HELL YEAH. I had intended to get food but it was a warm summer day and you better believe Imma get myself a mojito. Also it made the time waiting for my friend to arrive a more pleasant experience. Though if she was any later, I don't think I would have been able to stand! BEST coconut mojito I've ever had.
Yes, I did eventually end up getting food here. The flavors of the Sesame Ginger Soba was PERFECT. So good that I inhaled it all. Apparently their Kale Caesar Salad was the best salad my friend has ever had in NYC and she's had a lot of salads so I would take it totally seriously. Actually the whole reason I ended up coming here was for the ice panatea matcha which I totally forgot to order cause there was way too many things I wanted to get. Thank god for awesome friends who remember the sole reason why you wanted to try a place out cause she ended up ordering it for me (which ended up being as awesome as I thought it would be). The sweet potato fries were tasty and I loveeeee the Chipotle Aioli. The Beet Ketchup was too sweet for me.
BTW, the lines here are cray but it moves relativity quickly. The space isn't huge so it can feel really cramped in here when there are long lines + people waiting for their food. If you can grab & go, I would recommend that instead though it's not hard to get a table.
Pleaseeeee bring By Chloe to Midtown East so I can eat here every day for lunch. 🙂
two words: -very. disappointing- or – super. anti-climatic –
I don't know what all the hype is about this place. I ordered the guac burger, air-baked fries and spicy thai.
Guac burger – Bland, even with the guac and sauce. I feel like i tasted all bun.
Spicy Thai Salad- After having a few bites of the guac, the spicy thai was promising!! (Spoiler: for only about 5 bites in). The salad became this nonchalent meal I didn't want anymore.
Air-baked fries – they were good, but that's probably all I would order… if there is a next time.
Overall, i'd eat at another vegetarian place.
For vegan food, this is one of the best I've had! My meat lover friends from Los Angeles recommended it to me so I knew it must be good.
Taco Quinoa Bowl: this was really really really good. whatever the dressing is, it went really well with the salad and the fake meat on top. The fake meat was juicy and very savory.
Guac Burger: I actually didn't think this was particularly VERY good but it was still great for vegan food. I've had similar veggie burger bean patties like it, so I wasn't blown away.
Get the ketchup and chipotle sauces! they'll make your bowls/ burgers even better 🙂
There's a reason why this place has a long line!
Be prepared to wait at this location even for opening at 11am there were a few people waiting. I was skeptical about this veganism as I'm very much a carnivore but I wanted to try the air baked fries which were featured by someone. Press always makes for waiting.
I waited for about 15 minutes in a lunchtime crowd for the smashed avocado toast, air baked fries, and a matcha blueberry muffin because I'm a sucker for matcha.
The avocado toast was damn good. I know it's super easy to make but I have no qualms about spending the dough on this version. The bread is a solid sourdough slice. The pickled onion gives it a little sour punch. I wanted a little spice on it but overall it was delicious and I chomped it up!
The air baked fries are not worthy of press status. I got a few soggy looking fries that weren't cooked all the way through. I guess "air baking" whatever that means will increase the chance of this happening but it's mostly unwelcome in my eating habits. Taste wise they aren't bad but soggy fries are a NO!
The matcha blueberry muffin is delicious. I want to try the desserts and the baked goods more but that wait is not the best…someday when I have the patience I guess. They are opening an ice cream shoppe in the space next door soon I suppose…
Of course the place serves good food, but is it worth waiting on line forever to get your meatless meal? Nah.
I first went a long time ago during the evening when there was no line at all and got a bunch of desserts: a cupcake, a cookie, and some sort of banana bread. In all honesty, I had much better vegan treats. I found these to be quite bland and greasy. I didn't want to judge the place solely on the substandard of the sweet treats they offer, so not long ago, as the line was surprisingly short we went ahead to see what the real fuss was about (because it really couldn't be because of the sweets).
I got the taco bowl with corn and quinoa salad, avocado, tomato, meatless something and crispy tortilla baguettes. It was good, really, but waiting online for it??!!! Seriously people?!
My hubby got the seitan in bourbon sauce (or whiskey?) with pineapple. While the thing sounded delicious, it left him blah, unimpressed and also wondering what the heck is all the fuss about.
We ordered a side of baked sweet potato fries, they were soggy. The best part of the meal for the spicy aoili mayo.
So yeah, food is good, but is it worth waiting online for a vegan something? Absolutely not. Vegans of he world, chill out.
I would've liked this place A LOT better if it was a sit-down restaurant (or a take-out counter) rather than a packed cafeteria with too little seats for its customers. I felt like we were part of the Hunger Games trying to get hold of a table.
Nevertheless, I really liked their Guac Burger. So much more flavorful than their Classic Burger. Go ahead and skip the fries unless you like them soggy… I was not thrilled about them.
I'm a huge meat person but this place makes me feel like becoming vegan might be possible. The decor was chic and casual. I remember a bit over a year ago this place was brand new and I walked by thinking it was some new clothes shop or jewelry store.
My to go dish is the QUINOA TACO SALAD. The quinoa and avocado make it very filling. The sauce is just gorgeous. Taco adds the crunchiness to the salad. In sum, get it!
For desserts and sides, get the matcha muffin and air fried fries (goes perfect with the beet ketchup).
Want to come back and try their vegan burgers and sandwiches.
By Chloe is super popular and always has lines going outside even on rainy days but FINALLY i went in one day and patiently stood on line.
My 1st time there doesn't really count cause it was after midnight and I was pretty drunk but I remember ordering the sweet potato mac and cheese which was good and savory (and oily) but didnt really taste like cheese, but good try! My drunk self did remember my friend's avo fall toast with pomegranate seed being really really good. My other friend's pesto pasta was very oily.
On my 2nd trip here, I got the Greek Feta salad. I must say this is an underrated rated salad because the quinoa taco salad seems to steal the show. The way Chef Chloe got the tofu to taste just like Feta is absolutely mindblowing! It has the taste and texture of feta. The salad keeps getting better with kalamata olives & capers. Yum. The salad was salty but very savory, just the way I like it but too much oil!! I didn't even need to put dressing on my salad cause it was already so oily.
The things here are hella oily!!! This is not the 1st time, Cinnamon Snail's stuff is also pretty oily. What is up with these vegan places being so oily?! It's not necessary, the flavor is probably still good without all the oil.
From the bakery, the GF choc chip cookie is pretty good sometimes crumbly tho & from takeout, the matcha kelp noodies are good too (pricey tho).
Also the staff here has a little bit of an attitude, both times I've been here. Overall, pretty good place happy to see them expanding.
