  1. i bought a glutten free cake for a work colleague.  I didnt get to taste any of it but it was a red velvet cake at the very last minute and apparently it was a hit,  The staff was very courteous and friendly.  From the moment I walked in, I was acknowledge and taken care of right away.   the bakery is very small, I walked in on a sunday afternoon and they had 3 customers and we could barely fit in the place.  Now I know, anytime I need a glutten free cake I know where to go.

  2. On my first visit, they didn't have iced coffee, so paid an arm and a leg for a hot one. On my second visit I paid $4.50 for a small below par cold brew. And I thought Starbucks robbed you. I'm a big fan of new neighborhood joints, but plenty of other coffee options in the area for me.

  3. Not a bad addition to the UES bakery scene. The name of this bakery references the gluten-free aspect of the food, as in, "by the way this stuff is gluten free."

I will add my own by the way. By the way, the cakes here are the best thing they make by farrr. I have had a chocolate cake from this bakery in the past and it was absolutely amazing. It was a 5+ star cake, better than most I have had with gluten.

However, I tried a selection of the baked goods here today (apple coffee cake, almond cookie) and they were kind of soso. Maybe 3ish. Too sweet, texture issues, etc. So, if management is reading this, you guys should seriously make mini cakes, cupcakes, anything where you combine the frosting and cake you guys make.

Maybe they already sell these kinds of things and they were sold out the day I came but man, I really wanted some again but couldn't bring myself to buy a whole cake.

Anyway, a solid place, at very least for the amazing cake. Believe me, I know it is passé to sell cupcakes in NYC, but please, please start selling cupcakes.
