“Quesadillas and enchilladas are both above average for Americanized Mexican, and the burritos are just fine but nothing spectacular.”

  1. This is by far my favorite Mexican/Tex-Mex place on Long Island. I bring friends and family here whenever they are in the area. Cool, casual, and authentic style atmosphere. The food is authentic feeling and well thought out.

Prices are super reasonable, lunch specials are great too. I like almost everything on the menu (I have tried almost the entire thing by now). My favorite: any of their Enchiladas or the House Salad with steak or chicken. Shrimp burrito also rules.

Only downfall, it's usually pretty busy, best to call ahead for take-out or even if eating there. Sometimes order can take awhile to come out to your table. Still give it 5 stars because it's just an awesome place.

  2. I love love love this place!!!!

I love the décor, the plastic plates your served on, the fresh food (yes sometimes theres a bone), and I love their homemade sauce!!!

  3. Went back and got a standard carne asada burrito and…. still just 3-stars. It had good size and OK flavor, but was nothing special. Def not in the same ballpark as Bubba's or Salsa Salsa and honestly would be below Chipotle and Green Cactus on the burrito taste scale (gasp!). Don't get me wrong, these burritos are not BAD in the least bit and I will probably be back again soon. However, if the other places named are 4-5-star establishments, than CC has to be a 3-star affair. Until next time CC….

  4. Made a large order and wanted delivery but it was gonna take up to two hours so did pick up instead.  Excellent choice.  It was a bustling scene which was a good sign.
Delicious overstuffed burritos, well seasoned black beans and rice, guacamole and they got all the orders right!!

    Everything was well labeled.

    Will definitely eat here again!!!

  5. Texican.

This is definitely an American version of Tex-Mex.  Solid offerings but in no way would you confuse this with an authentic south of the border establishment.

They have a large selection of items and everything is made to order – so the stuff is very fresh and tasty.

There are some small tables there but the place is too brightly lit for my taste.  It totally rocks the take out though.

Located in a strip mall – parking can be tedious but if you have a craving, they are here.

    Parking  lot.

  6. Have been getting take out from here for YEARS (why I am just writing a review, I'm not sure…) and the quality of food, standard of service and prices have not faltered the slightest bit.

Interestingly enough I can't remember ever dining-in, but I will vouch for their take out! Depending on the time of night, it can be anywhere from a 15 min to 45 min wait… but it's worth it. Their veggie burritos are STELLAR. Big chunks of fresh vegetables, fluffy rice, just the right amount of cheesy goodness, beans, and they use a sauce that has a little kick to it which, in my opinion, makes the burrito complete. Aaand now I'm salivating.

This place is also good if you don't have time after work to whip up a whole meal for your family. They sell whole roasted chickens, have many side dishes, salads, and soups available in addition to burritos, tacos, quesadillas, etc.

Lastly, the staff are all extremely pleasant and they take plastic (including amex).

  7. The food is pretty decent. The decor is festive, but so-so. The service is fine. I would deem this place to be just an okay place. Nothing's horrible, but then… nothing's spectacular either.

To get here takes a bit of a drive, since I have to take the local roads. For the effort, I don't know if it's worth it. I'm truly a sucker for visually appealing places and foods, so this place falls far short of my standards.

I thought the fish taco and shrimp soft taco were okay. Cheap and good – sufficient flavor and texture. The half chicken dish was okay as well.

If I lived in Glen Cove, then I'd probably hit this place up every now and then.. maaybe…
