Extremely efficient staff here at cafe 28. It's not great food, but for the area it's relatively cheap and filling. I usually go to the fresh sandwich deli area. The Hispanic gentlemen are exceedingly nice and patient and they like it when you order en Español. Seriously they are super friendly. The hot food bar and the sushi section seem just gross to me so I always steer clear. The seating section upstairs is sort of run down and sad, but if you need a respite from your job it'll do. Coffee here reminds me of the gas station variety I would find back home in Arkansas. Yuck. As I said, the food from the deli is solid, I stay away from all else. One more point- the cashiers are insanely fast. The line blazes by, it's amazing to see them work.
Probably the best hot food buffet in the flatiron district. SUPER CLEAN, giant selection, quick- but not hectic- checkout. They even have a cute eat-in section. Only downside is that it is really pricey!
Still beats the pants off Essen! Try their chopped salad! You will NOT be disappointed!
I found this place on way to school and i was quite surprised on how great it is. Its 24/7 and has such a great variety of food! They have sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta and basically everything you can think of! A lot of seating room and the staff are decent. It looks like its owned by an asian family and they hired spanish people to cook which is pretty awesome because they make the food so tasty. I had a cuban sandwich and it was so good! I paid $11.11 for a drink and a cuban sandwich. I would recommend! However, the seating area can be maintained a little better. I dont see anyone coming around a wiping down tables and i have been sitting here for about an hour.
I just stopped in here to get a coffee and sit for a moment while I was on to my next destination. It was pretty busy and they had a lot of food options. Very spacious as well.
An OK cafeteria in a great location. The best thing if you ever go there is at lunch time (between around 12:00pm and 3:00pm) they have a lunch menu which includes Mexican food.
Most of the cooks there are originally from Mexico, making their mexican food a bit more authentic. They also offer almost all day long their food bar in which you select your own stuff and get charged by the weight of the food.
It is a convenient place to eat at if you work or live nearby and don't want to spend too much or take too much time. An average meal there would be around $12 dlls and would be ready in a matter of seconds.
It's a little crazy in here but there is almost every lunchy type food imaginable and a large seating area upstairs. If you have a hankering for sushi, ramen, sandwiches, salads, soups – you can find it here.
It is hectic and confusing as to how to get your food from the stations in the middle – kind of a free for all – and the cashiers were a little prickly, but the food is good, fairly cheap and conveient.
Quality has gone down and prices have gone up. I just got an embarrassing breakfast basket that I had to serve to clients. (See my picture). $24 for a few bagels and muffins cut in half..I expected a bit more. I could have bought a few bagels and muffins and cut them in half myself for $10. Their lunch catering has been okay in the past but one star for breakfast catering.
Good location. Looks like many of the cafes in the city.
I only tried a chocolate croissant. Don't get it. I know they didn't make it. But this chocolate croissant is not worth 2$. I was being lazy waiting around for my doctor's office to open. So didn't want to venture far.
Other food options looked good. But I haven't tried.
