I was shopping in the area with my sister visiting from Japan and decided to take a break for a while at this place.
The way they display their food makes them look so tasty. Well don't get fooled. We had the tuna pita and oreo cheesecake. The tuna pita was very healthy…way to healthy that the tuna was so dry and had no taste. Now the oreo cheesecake was way too unhealthy. I don't even want to know how much sugar they put in it…I think my teeth were melting by eating the cake lol We shared everything but the cake was just too much. We could not finish it.
So we had the two listed above and a iced tea….the total bill was $18. You gotta be kidding me NY! Please go to a cafe in K-town or something because this place overcharges way too much for their below average food.
Good place for fresh salad. Quick and easy- and lots of proteins and add ins. Set price, so I asked for lots of extra free add ons.. corn, garbanzo beans, yum. I definitly felt healthy after leaving this lunch stop!
One downfall- Dirty bathroom and tables- and it wasn't busy! Easy fix though Cafe Metro.
I agree with Michael J. that this is not the best place to sit down and eat. For take-out they are worth a try, good food but not special. Just a little pricey for me. I will give them a shout-out for their Lavazza coffee which is a cut above average. It helps that they are open early on weekends when a lot of the other places in the area are closed. During the week I get my coffee at a street cart.
