  1. We were in need of a good Kosher meal on a hot summer afternoon
tired of the usuals on central we traveled a little further to Woodmere
    totally empty around 1pm
we were warmly greeted by their waitress
two tables were quickly pushed together to accommodate our party 6 plus a baby
hot breads in a basket were instantly on our table
their dairy menu offers many pastas as well as pizzas
including a mushroom risotto that smelled odd but tasted quite good.
    pizza was crispy and tasty
Cesar salad crispy fresh and good
the pastas really shined we had penna alla vodka, fettuccine Alfredo , and spinach manacotti with vodka (suggested by our waitress)
plus we had two lentil soups steaming hot and so good even the baby liked it

must also add that there was only one visible waitress very friendly and very helpful
even though by the time we were done another large party was having lunch.
    too full for dessert
we will be back another day for sure for other pastas to try

  2. So the first time I came here with my family it was wonderful.
    fantastic service and great food.
Mind you we were the only ones there for lunch at that time but it was just newly opened. The penna alla vodka had a nice velvety creamy sauce. We ate it all up.
The lentil soup I had was really tasty and filling. The pizza was crispy and also very tasty. All in all great experience the first time.

A couple weeks later came back her for my sister and brother in laws wedding anniversary. It wasn't a night mare but it was close to it.
There were probably only 5 tables seated that night one being us. So the place was not crowded. Our waiter while friendly was very unattentive.
The lentil soup this time was much different. It was tomato based this time and was just okay. I wouldn't eat it again.
We ordered pizza and the bottom came out burned. I don't mean a little charred the whole underside was black. Normally we are not the type of family to complain but 14 bucks for a personal pizza we had to send it back. Took a while we finally got it back. It was charred again, not as bad as the first time, but still burnt.
My brother in law ordered the salmon. he started to eat it and realized the whole inside was raw. The only time raw salmon is okay is when you are eating sushi. He sent it back and 30 minutes later it came back and guess what it was even more raw, Seriously?????? After we sent it back for being raw wouldn't you make sure it was cooked this time. A $32 piece of fish sent back 2 times. The waiter never came to fill up our waters so we had to call him over to get assistance. I would understand if the restaurant was packed but it was practically empty.
My mother didn't like her salad at all and said it was to drenched in dressing. We ordered some mushroom pasta dish and when we left half of it was still left on the plate. I don't know how a place could change so much in just 2 weeks.
All they did was take the salmon off for us. They didn't even apologize for the bad service or the bad food.
We went up to the counter paid and rushed out.
We were all still really hungry so we went to Sunflower Cafe for some food and desserts.
Cafe Sapore made me very sad that night.
