  1. Good job at failing to bring any flavors to my mouth and I'm sure roo any other persons mouth at that.

  2. What I love about this place is that the naan is made to order. The garlic naan by itself is 4 stars, it would be 5 but it was oily. It was $2.99, which I think was a good price.

I got a Chicken Combo meal, which was $8.99. You could choose one chicken dish, a vegetable dish (also of your choice), basmati rice, and a small salad. I got the chicken tikka masala for my chicken dish and chana masala for the vegetable. It tasted fine but was a little oily also.

It was a very filling meal but Indian food usually is. I think what mostly contributed to the meal's heaviness was all the carbs and oil.

I don't think I'd order a meal from here again unless I was craving Indian. I'd come back just for the naan bread though.

  3. Tried this place in an attempt to break my habit of going for Sarku every time I'm at the mall. The food is decent, but my main complaint is the price. For the price of a two meat and rice dish with one piece of garlic naan and a bottle of water, I could have had a buffet at any of the numerous indian buffet restaurants all over new york and long island. It doesn't do them any good when everything else in the food court is priced at about half of what they sell their food for. Which is a shame because Indian food is awesome and more people would eat it more often if it were more accessible. Oh well.

Try it out if you want something other than Sarku, but there are better priced Indian places if you look around.

  4. Oh, no you didnnnnnt! $20.00 for chicken, rice, tiny salad , 2 pieces of bread dripping with puddles of grease ewwww nah naan and the worst mango lassi evvarrrrrr. The food was like totally Grody to the max.

That chicken was like so totally old like some senior citizen or something and rubbery, tasted like it has been left in the cooker since the new food court opened.

Prices are ridiculous! Like how am I supposed to buy everything at the mall.

  5. While it's great to have a truly ethnic alternative within the gritty confines of the food court, where one must battle for dirty tables and chairs and noise of screaming Long Island natives, Cafe Spice really needs to increase the quality of their dishes.

The Basmati rice I had the last two times I was here was crunchy at times due to lack of freshness.     The Chicken Vindaloo seemed bland as well as thr chicken texture being rather hard.  I expected it to be softer.  The Saag Paneer spinach was ok but the cheese seemed old as now I am having mild stomach pains.   I know most are a little lactose intolerant,  however,  mine only shows up when the food is not fresh.

There is a positive side to this review, the salad topping was actually quite fresh.   I ate everything I ordered and found satisfaction in a place that I hate eating (the Food Court).

I really don't mind spending 13 dollars (meal + h2o) for a meal that would have similar nourishment value of a 10 dollar special but at this price, please be more mindful of the quality.

  6. There are some cultures I don't have in my rotation. Its not that I don't enjoy them, there are just too many choices. I always walk by this place with my food, I needed a drink and I saw a mango lemonade thingy.

    Very very sweet!

Thanks Cafe Spice but for my lunch choices I don't need sweet or spicy.
    Peace out

  7. This Mall manage to capture  different venues in one Food District. Theirs something  for everyone.    Really enjoyed my five toppings spinach  salad with chicken  kebab. Very tasty and the spices  were extremely  complimentary to the salad. First time. Plan to incorporate  this towards my Vegan Healthier ME.

  8. I love their Indian food. Sorry I do not know the names of what I got, but I'll try my best to describe it to you:
My food was spicy on the mild side. I had something that looks like spinach, chicken that is in a pool of orange sauce, and a side of rice. Sorry if that doesn't help you much, but if you check out the restaurant you will see the food on display. My boyfriend had the samosas. It came with a green sauce that is pretty spicy, but delicious.

Their mango smoothie is a must try! It's perfect.

I knocked out three stars because their food is ridiculously expensive. For the amount of money I spend on their food I can go to an Indian buffet that has food just as delicious. But I keep going back to this restaurant mainly for their mango smoothie! Every time I pass by the restaurant they are always giving mango smoothie samples. Try it!
