  1. Okay, let me preface this by saying that I did not intend to get the most abominable thing on the menu, but as it turned out, I totally did.

I'd gotten off work at about 7:00 and was rushing to an event, so I decided to try this place out. My friend and I both wanted something substantial to eat, but because it was so late, they'd stopped serving sandwiches. I should've sucked it up and bought a dessert. Nope.

Here's what I got, and I dare you to tell me it sounds like anything other than a hunk of heart attack and death. I ignored all the warning signs and said "well, maybe I'll like it. It's savory."

Cheese and garlic honey bread. A thick slab of cakelike bread covered in garlicky cheese and then honeycombed over with a bottle of the kind of orange fake cheese that looks like it came out of a laboratory.

The worst part is I liked it. Even as my palette battled itself in confusion, I found myself kind of addicted. My friend felt the same way. It was only after we stopped eating that we descended into the remorse of someone who has committed a mortal sin against their gastrointestinal tract.

When I go back here, I will get a dessert or a drink, and I will resist the temptation to buy the hunk of death again. Wish me luck.

  2. I pass this shop on my way to class but never thought to go in. (I am not much of a coffee shop person for some reason)
Today I rushed in for tea and ordered a small ice tea lemonade for a bit over $2.50 and it was so good. The cashier and server was also extremely nice. It looked super roomy as well and very pretty. I'll be back.

  3. Not worth it.  The quality is cheap and you don't get what you pay for.  We ordered mini macaroons, gelato, and a medium shake.

Everything here is 100 percent artificial and expensive.  We came for dessert and saw a small waffle which is the size of my palm with some whip cream is almost 10 dollars.  I can get a large waffle with Nutella and fresh fruits for less than half that price from doo wop griddle a block away.  So yeah I'm good on that.   I wanted a latte but had their coffee before and was not impressed so we went for a cold refreshment instead.  The medium smoothie, which is maybe alittle more than 12 oz is 6 dollars and made from fruit juice and ice.  For six dollars it should be fresh fruit!! It tasted like pure sugar with ice.  I can get the same from Burger King for 3 dollars or get a better shake from McDonald's for less.  That's how bad the quality is compared to the price.

The mini macaroons were very chewy, gelato was whatever and the shake was very sweet.

Over all this place is overrated and way too pricey.  I can get a better shake in the city for less than 6 bucks.  Seriously they need to step up the quality and make prices that match what they are offering.

The people who work there are friendly so that's why it got 2 stars instead of 1.

  4. "Soft opening" sign has been there for weeks now.

The coffee is meh but drinkable. They still don't have a lot of the things on the menu. The waffles look good but not worth waiting on line with a bunch of loud high schoolers.

On the bright side the wifi is better and it is relatively cleaner than other coffee places around the area.

  5. Ordered: Liege waffle with whipped cream and strawberries

Pros: The place is massive, which lends to plenty of seating. The waffle was pleasantly sweet (similar to sweet rolls with powdered sugar from bakeries) and had a great doughy flavor.

Cons: The pricing was a bit much ($7) for the size of the waffle and its toppings.
