Great wings – they come served as the full wing (or what most people call the "leg" and "wing"). One serving of 10 wings essentially gets you 20 pieces. The sauces are amazing and I also love their dry rubs. I would recommend take out rather than waiting for a table because they generally have a crazy long wait time. My friends rave about their gravy… although I've never personally been into dipping my fries in gravy, I must admit it's really tasty!
Stopped in for a grab to eat. Ehhh I wasn't impressed with The food. I ordered wings(mild) and the Dante wrap (chicken, lettuce, cheddar cheese, chipotle) both were good.
The water with lemon tasted terrible and unfortunately I was extremely thirsty after a long work out. Forced myself to ignore it.
The place was much different than I imagined. Very country and hill billyish. A lot of older men at the bar. The service was ok. The staff was just a blah. Not friendly or rude just there to fulfill tasks and take food orders. Maybe they stopped by once to see if everything was ok but I think I'm being nice.
They have an upstairs where the bathrooms are located. They also have an outdoor area to eat which is cute especially in the summer days.
There is a parking lot along the side of the building which is pretty convenient.
Candlelight is a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a small bar as well. There is a parking lot. I usually order the small wings which comes 5 wings but it really is 10 because they give you the entire wing. The wings are GREAT and crispy!! Let it cool down because they usually serve the wings and it's so hot to touch!!! Mild wings are good but they also have teriyaki and more sauces as well. I also order a side a fries which are good! The waffle fries are good too!
The service is good and FAST when your seated. But the restaurant does get VERY busy! Especially weekends!! I would recommend going a random time during the weekday. We went around 3-4 and the restaurant was empty and we got seated the minute we came through the door. But there have been times where we have to put our name on a list and wait for a while to get a seat because it's such a small restaurant with limited seating space.
There is one desert I recommend is the cookie with vanilla ice cream! Sounds very basic but it's absolutely delicious!! It's a large warm chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top! YUM!!
I highly recommend this location and it's ok for large groups, there was 6 of us and we fit comfortably in a booth.
Candlelight is all right. I have heard a lot of great things about this restaurant, but I wasn't really that impressed. Their food was greasy and it was pretty noisy when I was there for dinner.
I the #skinnyfatbastardnyc found myself in Scarsdale, NY and was craving some wings and upon my research found this place that can be easy to miss. Cons: Long wait to get a table+Cash Only. The food itself came out pretty fast once order was in. It is pretty busy as I guess everyone in town comes here to get their wings fix. You can also order and eat at the bar for faster service.
What I ordered
WAFFLE FRIES: Delicious, Just the right amount of crispiness. Dip it in ketchup or blue cheese sauce. It was hard for me to stop eating them all. I had to share 🙁
Hot & Teriyaki WINGS: DOPE. This sauce is a bit spicy with Teriyaki and it hit the spot! I recommend. Don't worry it is not scorching hot just a bit of spice.
BUFFALO WINGS: I liked their Buffalo wings as well. Good sauce good flavor.
BBQ Legs: Their BBQ sauce was ok. A little too sweet for my liking. I would say stick to Buffalo and Teriyaki or Hot & Teriyaki as both were delish!
You need to request Blue Cheese sauce and celery for them to include it. It's free but you have to ask for it.
Good spot that lived up to its reputation for very good wings and waffle fries. Waitstaff is nice, but it can take a bit for them to get you seated.
The wings and the bar food are OK. I personally find Candlelight to be cramped and overrated but maybe it's just me because everyone is always hyped to come here.
The wings are to die for! I kept ordering Long Island Ice teas and wings ,over and over for like two hours straight. I thought I was going to burst from a wing overdose! Great fun experience!
This place is completely overrated. I was told they have the best wings in Westchester and that it's a must-try. I'll give it to them – the wings are pretty good but I've definitely had better elsewhere.
I ordered 5 teriyaki wings (they cut them in half so it's 10 pieces) and my friend ordered the same, but in mild sauce. The teriyaki sauce tasted bottled, which was a huge letdown. Also, there was too much sauce so it made the wings soggy. The mild wings were better and they actually tasted like authentic buffalo wing sauce with the addition of butter. All in all, it's not anything to rave about.
