They serve mad fried goods,which I think is this place specialty, they have a lot of arepas and chicharones(pork rinds). But here come the cons: The rotisserie chicken was not fully cooked, yuck! The rice with gandules was dry and hard.Not good. The plain rice and bean tasted bland.
This place is forgettable, I've been to better spots in Sunset Park.
This is not a bad place after eating here twice the food is pretty decent. Its your typical steam table rice and beans, pernil, mofongo cuchifrito.
I love that word cuchifrito so sexy, my meal was the roasted pork shoulder (pernil) with some arr-oz gondules.
The pork was tender and moist. The rice was cooked very good. They have an extensive breakfast menu and the specials change for each day of the week.
My only complaint would be to see some hot sauce bottles on the table instead of unopened bottles of wine.
Another plus is the salt and pepper shakers worked to perfection, they were kinda nice.
Cause it really grinds my gears when you eat out and the salt and pepper shakers don't work.
So overall not a bad spot, I will definitely be back for more.
