I've been here a few times and i really should stop giving them the benefit of the doubt. I've ordered the spinach salad with chicken and its extremely small portioned. I've had wraps from here and its been just ok. The one time i came here i actually found a hair in my food, and they actually asked to see it. I had to open up my napkin with chewed food to show them, and they still didnt seem apologetic. I also asked if i could use an expired punch card (which i didnt think i could) but i got a very nasty "no".
Ehhh okay… i guess. Had their "mouth stretcher" sandwich… was very disappointed. they should reconsider that name. I expected a monster sandwich where i would struggle to eat it, but no. barely any meat or veggies. probably gonna stick to breakfast sandwiches here IF i go back. they seem to favor the "usual" customers over new ones. First impressions are everything…
Came in today for the first time. I ordered a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a round roll with salt, pepper, and ketchup to stay. My bestie ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. We were both pretty happy with our food being tasty and served hot. We also has some amazing homemade chocolate chip cookies (nom nom nom). Amir helped us and was very kind with a smile! The location has a nice seating area and has a diner-ish feel. Our food was delivered to our table with a smile. The restaurant is clean and well kept with good pricing. They also have a television for your watching pleasure. And finally they deliver Monday through Friday.
I'd give Carlstadt Bagel a perfect 5 star review if they hadn't changed their classic cream cheese to a new lighter whipped version. I recommend bringing your bagels home and putting on your own cream cheese if you prefer classic.
Regardless, Carlstadt Bagel is definitely ahead of all its competitors for the best jersey bagel. Perfectly light and fluffy; their bagels always satisfy.
I've always focused so much on their bagels that I didn't even pay attention to their baked goods. I tried their cookies for the first time yesterday, and wouldn't shut up about them all day long. They are a MUST try!
My experiences with the staff have always been good. They are friendly, which is always what you hope for when rolling out of bed to get bagels in the morning.
