  1. This place may be a bar but it's definitely family friendly, I bring my 3 year old here she loves the wings…. Very inviting staff I am glad to know a spot like this just to chill out at …… The Wings is a must always get a large order I know people like spicy but get it just BBQ this is it, crunchy and saucy, and the Beer always freezing cold… Stop by if you just want to get away for a little bit and have some ME time…..

  2. Yesterday was a beautiful day for a walk in Queens. After, so many cold and wintery days I needed to enjoy a pre spring day. What better than to walk to a bar…lol.

Cassidy's Ale House, located in the East Elmhurst section of Queens is a run of the mill Irish Bar. Nothing special. Very average. Not the end of the world, but not worth the trip to this section of Queens.

If I lived in the area, I am sure Cassidy's would be a favorite. Adult beverages within walking distance of home is always a benefit, but living a couple of miles away; oh well, I have better choices.

Beer selection is average and standard. Bud at $4.50 for afternoon pricing seem a bit overpriced. Not a big deal. Cassidy's seems to be the only gin mill around.

Overall, Cassidy's Ale House is your very standard Irish bar. Service was friendly with a smile. Had a bit to many small TVs for my taste. They serve food. Might try a burger if in the area next time. Place looked clean, but a bit worn. Worth a visit with the wife if in the area. Cheers……

  3. Beer:  4 stars
    Food:  3 stars

Great beer… okay food.  There was a group of 8 of us that headed over to the bar as part of the JHFG.  Ice cold beers.  YUM!

As for the food, we got the following:

    1) Fried Calamari – good & crunchy as expected

    2) Sliders – pretty decent; the meat was salty, and we got the bacon on it as well, so the burger was too salty for me

    3) Sweet Potato Fries – the sweet potato fries weren't sweet… but then we realized that sweet potatoes aren't in season right now; otherwise, the bar cooked the sweet potatoes as it should with a nice crunch

    4) Buffalo Fingers – meh

    The atmosphere was great.
There is a section in the back, which is good for parties or gatherings.
This is one of the better bars in the Jackson Heights, Queens area for beers on tap.  Food is a-ok.

  4. Cassidy's, I am so sorry I have cheated on your burger with other burgers in NYC. I dabbled at it at first but then I was rushing off into the arms of other burger joints at the mere mention of an excellent burger. I was WRONG and never will I stray again 🙂 Your Cassidy's Special burger is really the best in New York City, topped with an insane amount of bacon, cheese, fried mushrooms and onions on a huge patty that's always well seasoned. The fries are crispy on the outside and hot and almost creamy on the inside.
