Chadwicks American Chop House & Bar
“Finally made it to Chadwick's in RVC, or should I say the NYC of Long Island?”
“It's right across from the train station so it's a good place to unwind before or after a train ride.”
“The layout at Chadwick's just made it so easy to mingle amongst all the guests which was exactly what my daughter and her fiancé wanted from a venue.”

I have been wanting to try Chadwicks for a while, but their dinner menu is a bit too expensive for my liking. Even though I would consider it to be a steakhouse, it is still in RVC not NYC. Their lunch menu seemed a bit more reasonable but the only problem was that they only serve lunch on weekdays. It's hard to catch that with a full-time job. Luckily I was off on New Year's Eve and was able to get catch their lunch offerings.
The second I spotted the French Onion Soup Burger (10 Oz. sirloin with onion au jus, melted fontina, mozzarella, frico crisp, crispy onions on toasted onion brioche, truffle scented pommes frites), I knew I had to have it. One of my favorite soups in burger form? Yes, please. It was everything I imagined and more. All the flavors of French Onion Soup topped on a juicy burger.
They also have a decently priced lunch special which offers a soup or salad, an entrée (from a pre-selected list), and gelato. A good deal if you can get in here for lunch.
Never misses. I love this place. Came here several times, including on Valentine's Day with the spouse. What a place. Great food and great service. Near a train station and is unassuming from the outside. I would call this a hidden gem.
I got rave compliments from coworkers and a client also when i brought them here for a lunch.
Can't miss.
This place is legit! This had been a watering hole of mine for years but I never really ate here. A friend told me, "this is the best food in RVC" so I tried it. Both times I at at the bar from the happy hour menu. They have a sick happy hour menu with small shareable plates, discount drinks and high end pub grub. I got a French Onion Soup Burger. A burger with melted Swiss, crispy onions and served with a shot of onion soup for dipping, as if the meat wasn't juicy enough. A solid portion of fries at an unbeatable price. A 20.00 bill left on the bar will definitely get you a burger and a beer, and at this quality it is way worth it!
Restaurant week, my favorite time to try new places I normally wouldn't.
This time I probably shouldn't of.
Service was just plain bad here. We had 7pm reservations, the place was half capacity. They put us in a corner, didn't even bother giving us menus. Placed our drink order, then had to ask for menus.
3 different servers came up to us to take our drink order, yet it took forever for it to show up.
The food was OK, nothing to really comment about though. Had the cesar salad, petite filet, and chocolate mouse.
But it took forever to have the next course come out, when we were clearly done. Its was blatantly obvious to that we were done. Desert was a joke, about 20 mins to find its way to the table. Each minute that passed we were tempted to just give up.
Dissapointing to say thr least.
