  1. Come here with my dad occasionally whenever I visit him in NJ. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we do love eating the food! And they do offer coupons, but not sure if it's for everyone, or some kind of rewards system coupon, like $10 off two entrees. We get that a lot.

To be honest, we usually always bring our meal home, because the salad bar is so good, we fill up on that.

    Some salad bar notables:
Shredded carrots, eggs, black olives, delicious macaroni salad (not too heavy on the mayonnaise or mustard), potato salad (this is a bit heavy so get sparingly), cheeses, deli meats,  tomatoes, mushrooms, artichokes, crumbled bacon. I hardly ever need to get actual lettuce here! They have iceberg and romaine. Croutons, salad dressings, and olive oil/vinegar. Bread slices, but it's cold, not toasted, and not very soft. Maybe it's the type of bread they use.

As for the main dishes, I've had some good steaks here. Cooked how I wanted — medium rare.

The most recent time I came here our large group had the most tender prime rib meal. Oh my god. Medium rare, or borderline rare, juicy succulent pink. Delicious, melt in your mouth! Maybe a bit too salty, but that's how restaurants like to cheaply season their food, so I don't hold this against them.

Service is always friendly. It's not a crazy, rowdy, jam packed crowd/place here, although there is a bar and people like to sit and watch games. I think the crowd feels either older or more family oriented. At least at this particular location. I know the hostess is always the same older woman.

The place is kind of drab though. Very outdated, boring, dark brown  decor. And it has a musty smell when you walk in. It fades away, but musty, like wet cardboard around the front.

Bathrooms are pretty tidy and by the front, in the hallway you walk up to be seated by the hostess. There's a large step, so be careful walking in/out!

  2. The salad bar is a great option for lunch.  It has just about everything except shrimp which is fine by me since most salad bar shrimp is not worth the effort.  It has just about everything on it.  For another dollar, you can also get a soup or chili with your salad bar.  We ordered a pitcher of sangria but it was sparse on both the fruit and the alcohol.  Our server was terrific.

I've had dinner here a few times too.  In my opinion, It's more in the 3 star range for it's entrees.  But, for lunch, it is a recommended stop.

  3. Oh my Lord!!!!

What the hell kind of place is this?  They were known for their aged steak and my goodness, I can make better steak than here and at least mine would be chewable.

Good thing we had a gift card to cover the entire bill.  Otherwise, I would have been so pissed.
