  1. Unfortunately – the breakfast menu is gone.

But now they have this spicy fried chicken sandwich at Rollie's.  That's the only place i go so the rest of the food i don't know about.  This sandwich is very tasty – a large chunk of dark meat chicken deep fried.

My only issue was that it was a little saltier than i would have liked, but otherwise it was nice and crispy.

Does it challenge all the other chicken sandwich joints around NY?  It has potential, let's just say that.

  2. Chef Street is a bit of an indoor food truck-food court combination.  It's located in the lower level of Macy's and seems to so far, be pretty undiscovered, which is a good thing when you're in a tourist-heavy area.  You order from the worker who greets you holding an ipad.  She'll then give you your receipt and you'll pick up your order at the appropriate food truck.  You'll then take your food and any add ons (they have fruit, drinks, desserts, soups available in another area that you can grab and go) to the register to pay.  There's also plenty of seating available for groups of all sizes.

For the food itself, there's four choices of food trucks, with most of them designed by a famous chef.  Noodles, taquitos, sandwiches, and burgers/hot dogs/shakes.  We tried three of the four food trucks and everyone was happy.  Food was ready quick, freshly prepared, and reasonably priced for NYC.  Perfect lunch spot when you find yourselves in Macy's and needing a shopping break!

  3. My mother, sister, and I were starving as we walked through the Christmasland of Macy's and we stumbled upon Chef Street – it literally was like an answer to our prayers. Chef Street is like food trucks in Macy's and it was awesome! My sister and I went to the Crumb truck for  gourmet sandwiches and my mother went to the burger truck. I obviously had the grilled cheese and it was delicious. It was the perfect blend of cheese with horseradish, my fav. It was just what I needed!
