  1. Wine wine everywhere, bottles filling up every imaginable nook and cranny! "Be mindful when navigating" sign should be displayed more conspicuously, and definitely don't bring small children inside as they can easily trip on the extra bottles lying around.

The collection is impressive. And it makes me feel completely ignorant about wine, because there are too many names that don't register… You'll find lots and lots of names from Rhone/France, Italy, Australia, South Africa, California, etc. A nice stock of sake, too.

Haven't really had a chance to interact with the staff here…but the little "Wine Spectator" point signs may help you identify the good picks. Open till 10pm, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it closes at 11pm. Sweet!

  2. Really like the look and feel here.  It's compact but the displays are very well done.  It's easy to see the wide range of choices.  They carry some fun and different brands and vintages.

    I'll be back

  3. A small and extremely cramped space without any aisle room for walking or browsing freely, yet the selection of wine is very good including Japanese sake.  Wine, wine, WINE is stocked nearly every inch of space and the entrance/exit foyer area is very little room.  Re-stocking was a challenge for the lack of space and the sounds of glass bottles clicking together was mellifluous to "it's WINE time!!"

I like this little wine shop for carrying good quality reds, whites for wine.  After a long exhaustive and struggling week, undecided when browsing through, I inquired for assistance for a semi-sweet red within the $15.00 limit.  Service is attentive, if not extremely knowledgeable.  It was here where I attain a bottle of semi-sweet Californian Cabernet Sauvignon for $15.99.

Behind the counter lies mini bottles for small selection of various whiskey and rum.

Two separate registers bears two separate queues:  one for cash and the other for credit card purchases.  Chelsea Wine opens late especially on weekdays.

  4. Small, with wine crammed into nearly every inch of the shop.  They have pretty much anything you're looking for (with a layout conducive to actually finding what you're looking for), with shockingly cheap prices.  Very polite and helpful service to top it all off.
