I was so hoping to like The Chicken Coops' fried chicken. Sad to say, they did not meet my expectations.
I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with a side salad for lunch earlier in the day for $8.00. It wasn't bad so I figured I'd try more from their menu. Later on that evening I called in an order for take out. The gentleman who took my order said it would be a half hour for pick-up and I thought it was a reasonable amount of time to complete an order of this size. So I said, ok!
My order consisted of:
12 pieces of Fried Chicken that were crispy but did not pack much flavor and were a bit on the greasy side.
3 large sides. Baked beans that were just ok and taste like they are straight out of the can. Mashed potatoes with gravy. They were just ok. Four pieces of corn on the cob, which seemed like a whole ear of corn, that was cut into pieces. They were cold, mushy and had no flavor.
Total cost for this meal was $25.00. Yes it was very inexpensive and you get what you pay for, but it's nothing I would have again.
