Small place only a few tables, but the food is juicy and fantastic. They take the skin off of the chicken for healthy reasons. But it's not just chicken, they also have savory huge ribs and also fish. This is no ordinary Popeyes or KFC. Their sides are something you would have at a real bbq; Fried Zucchini, corn on the cob bathed in butter. Mac and cheese and sweat potato fries. Very cheap for what you get
I went to get some dinner last night. I have been by the place many times without stopping in. The restaurant specializes in skinless fried chicken and ribs. They also have fried fish and shrimp. I ordered the rib and chicken special, which consisted of 3 BBQ ribs, two pieces of fried chicken, French fries and a dinner roll. The ribs were delicious and tender. The chicken was good as well. Fries were good, reminded me the French fries that you get at Nathan's. It was worth the price $11.99. I will definitely be coming back.
I've been ordering from Chicken Holiday since the 90's. I lived on Long Island growing up and remember my family ordering fried chicken buckets for family gatherings and Friday night dinner. The chicken is never oily and prepared fresh. The food here is made when ordered so it is never sitting around all day. I recently visited and nothing has changed. This is a great place to stop for family dinners at a quality price. The side orders need a little help, I wish they had more salads as options as opposed to so many carbohydrates. I went next door to Fruit Tree Supermarket and picked up fixings for a fresh salad. The sweet potato fries here are delicious. I hear the ribs are amazing.
