Great food and tasty flavors but the wait for food is ridiculously long. I recommend calling in your order and getting your food to go as they prioritize pickups more than the dine-ins.
Don't be deceived by the seemingly small quarter portions- I thought I was going to be hungry after the meal but I could barely finish the chicken towards the end.
Great addition to the Rockaway area.
IF you can get past the really disinterested counter girl, the rotisserie chicken here is delish, healthy and a great option for quick noshing on the beach. I recommend the beans as a side, with an extra side of rice. I've also had the quinoa salad which is tasty and filling. Recommend getting extras of the orange and yellow sauces.
With a great recommendation from the Times comes great responsibility.
So it is with a heavy heart I report this place is only so-so. The service was s-l-o-w, it took nearly half an hour for my food when there was no one else in the restaurant!
Yucca was greasy and bland, chicken was GREAT, and rice/beans were fine. Hoping they get their act together before summer!
