  1. Love this place! Tacos are well prepared, the tortillas are perfect in every way always fresh and never rubbery.  Filling choices are expertly prepared and authentic. We've tried just about every flavor and always come back to the pork belly and duck.  The Bartenders are skillful mixologists who can throw together some mindblowing drink combinations.  Always a fun place to hang out.

  2. BEST TACOS EVER!! No, really. I want to eat them everyday.

The outside patio area was pretty hot, but I don't even care. All I could focus on was the meat in my mouth. The carnitas were so full of flavor. The shrimp had this lovely mango or something added. Eat everything with the avocado salsa. You won't regret it. I may have eaten here twice. Within a 4 hour span. Don't judge.

Inside is casual and laid back. The Day of the Dead motif is fun. Decent drink selection.

  3. Same rating… but now I'll include it all. Food and drinks. They clearly did some tweaking and fine-tuning to their cocktail menu. We came here during the huge snow storm and we were so very grateful that they were open.

My favorite tacos are still the fish taco and the huitlacotche.

  4. Their tacos are Definitely above average, Especially the nopales (cactus), and huitlachoce (corn fungus, it's prized in Mexico). But what blew me away was their selection of sauces, I think it was seven if I'm not mistaken, one better than the other, and in the case of the two habanero sauces, one hotter than the other…

This is a really nice local bar, with picnic tables in the backyard, where a taco truck is permanently located. my friends and I stopped by after work to check this place out.

A few tacos later, and a few drinks looser we all left happy and full, some with tongue burns! But Don't blame me, I warned them…

    Note:
the kitchen @the food truck always closes two hours before last call.

  5. Cool, laid back bar with great tacos. I love its outside vibe with the food truck and picnic tables. I've tried the pork, chorizo, shrimp, fish and duck tacos. All are tasty but the seafood ones stand out to me. The shrimp has a slightly sweet, pineapple tasting topping, and the fish is lightly fried and very flavorful. Bartender and food truck staff are friendly. Reasonably priced. What's not to like?

  6. Came here for dinner and drinks when I was in town a few weeks ago. I had the carnitas and pollo tacos, both were delicious with the avocado sauce they had…tacos were $3 a piece, not cheap but not too expensive. I also ended up getting a few beers…I think Negro Modelo were on "special" for $6…a little pricy in my book. All in all not a bad place, friendly service, good bartender, would go back.

  7. I was looking forward to warm weather, just to hang out at Chilo's again. ALL of the tacos are great (the nopales and chorizo are personal favorites), the drinks are nice-strong-and cheap AND they take card. Great vibe too.

W's all around. I'll be here all summer!

  8. I live right down the street from Chilo's, but never went in because the store front seemed a bit dilapidated, dark and hipster. After my friend found it on Yelp, we decided to check it out. We saw an awesome backyard patio with a sign that said Cocktails. Yay! The truck at the back served $3 tacos, tostadas, and tortas. We started off with a round of 3 $3 tacos; chicken, nopales, carnitas. Since I don't really eat meat I had the nopales one. I then went inside for drinks, the bar was dimly lit but seemed pretty inviting. I opened a tab, and got a $7 Mexicali and shot of tequila. The only problem is the food truck and the bar are not together, they are separate. I had to take my card to the food truck for our second round of food. We got the Tinga tostada and the nopales tostada, along with a Corona and an Ommegang Wit. We met some pretty cool people that invited us to their friends party as well, so that was a plus! Great food, great space, great environment!!!
